It's amazing how this team blows so many chances to put an opponent away. Not surprised about the L since I thought they would lose anyway. Another game where Rodgers fails to take the team down the field and actually win a game. I have little faith in him leading the team on a game winning drive.

Too early to panic but very disappointing.

At the end of the day this team needs a new head coach,a championship caliber head coach which MM is not.

The thing that sucks is there always seems to be a bail out for MM.Last year it was ''we made the playoffs'' but that had a lot too with a cupcake schedule.

Now this year it will be the injuries.

With the injuries we have and the fact we've lost 2 games we should have won and it's only week 5 you're right nobody should panic.

We should just take a deep breath and calmly accept that this team isn't going anywhere and probably wouldn't have even if they had good health.


The injuries are big but you can just see this team doesn't have what it takes,healthy or not.

I can't believe we would have won if we would have just kicked that field goal on the 1 instead of going for it on 4th down.

QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion in overtime and coach Mike McCarthy had no further update. Rodgers didn't speak after the game, so it's impossible to know how bad it is. He will have to go through the usual battery of tests to play against the Miami Dolphins.

TE Jermichael Finley suffered a hamstring ligament injury. Finley said he's done it before. It just kind of popped out of place a little bit. Depends when it relaxes and goes back to normal. Could be a one day injury, or a couple weeks. He will have tests on Monday. Likely out at least a week.

TE Donald Lee, I'm told, had some sort of stinger injury to his shoulder but should be fine in the short term. Could be ready for Miami.

LB Clay Matthews did not have problems with cramps or anything, his hamstring got tight on him and he may have had a slight pull. He does not think it's as bad as the previous injury from Family Night when he missed a month. It is the same hamstring that keeps giving him problems (left). Likely out at least a week to be on the safe side.

DE Ryan Pickett said the x-rays were negative on his ankle but he's not sure what is wrong and the ankle is a problem. He could not have gone back into the game. May be a few weeks for him.
S Derrick Martin is again battling the same ankle he had off-season surgery on. He was on crutches and obvious pain. His might be the most serious.

LB Frank Zombo had his knee looked at during the game. Not sure whether it will linger.

Unreal. So let's go down the list of starters hurt:

Grant, Finley, Tauscher, Rodgers, Matthews, Barnett, Chillar, Pickett, and Burnett with Shields, Lee, Zombo, Martin, and Harrell hurt for reserves (some of which are/would be starters at this point), and guys like Clifton, Collins, and Jenkins banged up.

No. Losing hope in your team after them being 3-2 after 5 weeks with all the injuries we had isn't knowledgeable, it's being unnecessarily fickle. I expect it from Grendon because that's his nature but not from everybody.

Really frustrating loss.

I, like everyone here have been trying ti figure out what's up with our offense, and it comes down to playcaalling. There's absolutely no creativity whatsoever on that side of the ball. I saw moss run about ten misdirection routes (where he faked running an out, to a slant fore instance) - i don't think vie ever seen one of our wr's run a route like that. Took us until ot to run a freaking screen. Oh, and the wr s need to hang onto the ball.

We need kick returner bad.

On the positive side, or dine looks dominant. Bishop looked good. Coverage is not bad. The running game looked reasonable.

But I guess since Chicago is beating everyone, them and Atlanta are about the only teams who have a chance to win the Super Bowl.

Chicago has zero chance of winning the Super Bowl. Cutler is turns it over too much. NFC is wide open though. If we can avoid getting 4+ injuries a game, I think we still have about as good of a shot as anyone else.

I tolerate McCarthy when the Packers win games, but when the going gets tough I find myself questioning his every move. He was terrible today. I agree with the playcalling criticisms, just because you have talent doesn't mean you don't have to add some creativity. Common sense is a good quality in a head coach as well, you know, like kicking a field goal on 4th and 1 early in the ball game. Discipline is an issue every year, which points to leadership. McCarthy needs to be held accountable. Dropped passes drove me insane this afternoon as well, I guess I won't blame Mike for that...

That said, I don't think he will get canned... even if we don't make the playoffs he will still be here. Easy to chalk up a lost season to injuries.



Tomorrow I will be more optimistic.

Like I said earlier in the week,I can see some of those teams improving as the season goes along unlike the Packers

And I say unlike the Packers because we lost today and lost the Bears game because of penalties (undisciplined) and bad coaching and simply not executing.

And those are things that have been bad trends with this team the last couple seasons.

I don't expect those trends to suddenly go away at any point this season.

If we were 3-2 but had played good clean football and simply got outplayed I wouldn't say that.If we got outplayed and got beat by the better team I would have more confidence in maybe getting better as a football team later in the season.


But we are beating ourselves and this has been a trend now.Trends don't just go away,you have to make changes (MM).
