Re: Kings @ Warriors
Fouling is going to be a problem for Cousins and Thompson (again).
Evans needs to be more assertive.

Man, I hate pre-season. You never get to see the best players play.
I can't wait till the season starts.

I went to the game. It was pretty boring. DMC ended up with a nice stat line...but seemed uninterested. I basically went so I could see him in person...I was pretty disappointed. Nonetheless, it is only preseason so I hope his "passion" shows once the regular season starts. Reke was not very aggressive on the offensive end but I did like what I saw on defense from him. Luther Head had a nice game too...Darnell Jackson sucks

Re: Kings @ Warriors
Some GSW beat writers are saying Monta played pretty good D against Tyreke keeping him out of his comfort zone when he tried to post up Ellis and then harassing Evans on the perimeter. If you went to the game do you think the GSW beat writers are accurate?
Ellis improving defensively is important for GSW fans. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the matter, I often times find objective opinions by opposing teams' fans much more insightful then a run of the mill sports writer.

I wasn't at the game, so I don't know, but most GSW writers are notorious for being homers and just plain wrong. Not many people last season were able to contain Tyreke. The only guy I remember who was effective in defending Tyreke was Shane Battier, so I have my doubts that Ellis did last night.

Revenge comes tomorrow (if there is such a thing in preseason). Hopefully Cousins doesn't let the BS calls effect his style of play. We need to feed the big man early and often.

Re: Kings @ Warriors
Ellis was locked in on D. However, to say he did a great job on Reke is a bit premature considering its only preseason. It was pretty obvious, IMO, that Reke was not to adamant on getting into the paint. No need to go and get banged up down low in the preseason. He was pretty passive offensively. They did run a lot of UCLA cuts for him to get him near the block/midrange area. When that did happen he almost always passed due to all the warriors locking in on him.
There is not a single player on the Warriors that could handle Evans on his own. For the record, I think Curry is a much better defender than Ellis. I remember last year he did a decent job on Reke...in one of their four meetings...
GO KINGS!
On a side note..I am really hoping for a big year out of JT...He is always locked in and ready to go...hope his effort leads to execution
