I am not trying to read too much into this, but Hickson's per 36 numbers this preaseason (24/12) are encouraging, but I would hope that he can raise his FG%. I hope poor play or an injury creates a need for Mo Williams elsewhere. I think he could play well in the new offense, but I would like to see Sessions and Gibson getting a lot of minutes this season.

Hickson needs to start and AV should come off the bench.

We also need to find a starter at the 3. Shoot me if we have to start Super Jamario!

So I picked him up for my fantasy league with my 2nd to last pick. Wife's from Cleveland so we've watched them quite a bit for the past couple years. If he can do anything close to that as my bench PF I'll be stoked beyond all reason

Long season, yes. 0-82, is a troll post. You guys are basically the Bulls after Jordan retired the 2nd time. They went 13-37 (i think) in a lockout shortened season. A lot is going to be asked of Jamison, Hickson, Williams, Parker, and Sessions. And I just don't think they can do it. My guess is 20-25 wins for the season.

I do not think people are factoring in Byron Scott enough when evaluating the Cavs roster. The players that we do have are well suited for an uptempo offense. It's hard for me to believe that our current squad is going to take a ~40 game hit in the win column.

I agree with the post of mcfly1204 about other fans not factoring in Byron Scott enough when evaluating the CAVs roster. As for the Bobcat fan predicting 20 to 25 wins... the preseason match-up where the CAVs had none of the top players playing should have made an indication that the Bobcats had not passed the CAVs yet.

One rookie making a big impression in the CAVs preseason camp is Manny Harris and their is talk that he might take Danny Green's roster spot. I would think that the CAVs should be looking to move Anthony Parker sooner that later to a contender and keep Green too. I know Danny Green hasn't looked that good so far in preseason, but with his shooting ability I think he will have a career there as a bench rotation player.

Manny Harris Has Impressed the Cavaliers

There are many cautionary tales of college stars who left early to pursue fame and a big payday in the N.B.A. When things do not work out and there is no fairy tale ending, critics are left to wonder what could have been if the player had stayed in school.

Manny Harris, an undrafted rookie guard trying to make the Cleveland Cavaliers, hopes to prove he made the right choice in leaving the University of Michigan a year early.

So far, things are looking good.

Manny Harris: The undrafted free agent out of Michigan has scored 14 points in consecutive games and is making a strong push to make the roster. Harris could always play - he was named Michigan's Mr. Basketball his senior year of high school and was an All-Big Ten first-team selection at the University of Michigan. He's one of those guys who slipped through the cracks on draft day, but he has scored 31 points in 54 minutes this preseason. Danny Green, beware.

Manny Harris Making a Name for Himself as a Member of the Cavaliers

Cavaliers coach Byron Scott was quoted after last night's win over Dallas saying that "Manny has a lot of upside. He just turned 21-years old a couple of weeks ago. At 6-4, 6-5 he's very athletic, a very good defender, hounds the ball pretty well, makes pretty good decisions."

Scott also said, "He did a heck of a job, made some plays for us down the stretch, did a really good job defensively of just locking people down and doing some things we talked about doing, getting some big-time steals, very active and aggressive on that end of the floor."

Many people will claim it is the quality of players that the two are playing against, but in last night's game Harris was inserted in the game early and had to go up against the likes of Dirk, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and Caron Butler.

I have to admit that I am disappointed in Danny Green. He seemed to have a nice level of composure on the court in the little bit of time I saw of him last season. With his size, defense, and shooting ability, I thought he would round out to be a solid roll player. I am not writing him off, but I thought he would be showing more this preseason.

I hope we trade Parker... so we dont have to cut harris or green...

at this point i doubt Parker would net us anything more than a TPE... maybe Dallas?
