I hated Jennings for doing this kind of thing, so I'm not a big fan of DMC doing it either. I understand the origninal "I want to prove everyone wrong thing" that's fine. You've said it, now prove it. I don't want to hear about how you think you're better than player X every week. Just play.

Swagger = good.
$W@GG = douchebag.

Well, just the way you worded the part where you talk about why he was the 5th pick. You may not have meant that at all, I guess I was wrong. I'm sure that was a big part of why people passed on him. It's kind of similar as to why teams passed on someone like Randy Moss in the draft.

There are plenty of really great athletes of a myriad of different sports that bring up the fact that they were drafted in a lower spot and it motivates them to prove others wrong. The question is, will Cousins ultimately use that aggression in a productive manner?

I like the attitude, it's not very PR friendly but I'd rather have that than a yes, man center that's pretty indifferent to what happens on the court.

Reminds me of a young shaq -- attitude and dominance wise.

There are ways to carry out an opinion that aren't inflammatory nor make you look like a child. You don't have to be a yes man either.

When you aren't able to make the distinction you become what's called a distraction. No organization needs that.

Shaq has an entertaining quality to him where his comments don't come off brash. He's very funny and has a savvy about him that lends to being more open with the media. The difference is it's not a distraction, and Shaq is very well in control of the media. It's not the other way around.

If this is the only thing DMC does wrong in his time here I'd consider him a model citizen. I just hope this is more the exception than the norm. I'm just saying as a rookie whatever platform you are speaking from should be yanked immediately.

Not wanting to rub it in, just to make a point.

As I mentioned previously, Cousins needs to stop worrying about Favors, and in a major way start worrying about guys like Al Jefferson

I agree with wolfdog's statement regarding Cousins:

If Cousin's had focused on his game over the summer instead about worrying where he was selected in the draft, then maybe he wouldn't be in this situation.

You are bumping a thread that's 2 weeks old because you want to make a point?

Be honest now, that's exactly why you're here. Your first post was trolling and this one is too.

So the definition of trolling to you, includes any post that comes from a realgm member that is made in a forum not involving their primary team???

Like I said earlier, I am glad to see that there are several reasonable Kings fans, who recoginize Cousin's lack of maturity, and how that has a negative impact on his game. That is why the Nets took Favors.

Let me share my definition of a troll. It includes posters who absolutely shun any criticism regarding their team or players, and then try to attack a poster with out addressing anything about the content of the post.

Do you think that Cousin's did well against Jefferson? Below are Cousin's numbers:

Min 28:34
FGM-A 1-7
+/- -15
Rebounds 4
Turnovers 6
Points 4
