I believe we get the higher of New England's two 4th rounders, as well. Denver's original pick I think. Since we shipped a fourth for Lynch (ok, and a conditional '12) and received a 4th for Branch, I'm considering this deal a straight up Lynch-for-Branch swap. Lynch doesn't have to do much to make this deal a winner.

We took an oft injured player who many viewed as a lock to be cut in training camp and turned him into a 4th rounder. Yeah...that's impressive. We definitely needed to add a decent pick as the Whiteurst and Lynch deals left us a little strapped in the middle rounds.

I'm impressed by JS and PC, but one way to look at it is John's not rusty he's got more practice at making deals than any other GM this year, I believe:

Swapped In: Andrews, Lynch, Whitehurst, Clemons, Polumbus

Swapped Out: Wilson, Branch

Redone: Babs, Jones, Locklear

never mind the signings and cuts.

Wonder if Cleveland could be our coup de gras:
#1 for Hass & our #2 haha just sayin.... Pau Gasol happened for Kwame Brown.

I guess I do not understand the value of 4th round picks in football. I of course value Lynch over Branch but I would have expected both to be worth more than 4th round picks.

I believe wr market value was re-established by our original purchase of Branch for a 1st, Roy Williams flopping for a first, Randy Moss dropping to a fourth after the Raiders initially got him for a 1st due to production issues, and Randy Moss now going for a 3rd.

Lynch's price tag dropped due to his legal history, the crowding in Buff, and some lack of production last year after some intentional weight gain. Lynch after 08' was untouchable or first rounder material for sure.

Anyone else hate Branch even more now after that 10 catch performance with New England.
