I am sure Soriano was crushed when he heard the news. Him and Felix were like best friends in the clubhouse.

knowing the cubs, once jones isn't here he will probably end up as an amazing all-star player elsewhere.

Iowa won again!
Pie went 1-4
Our star was Coats who went 3-3 with 2 RBI's
Carlos Marmol got the win striking out 7 and giving up 3 runs.

I am going to try to cap off every minor league report with a "Meet the Iowa Cubs segment"

Today we will meet Eric S. Patterson who hit a home run tonight.

I've seen Eric a few times vs. the Cougars in Kane County. He seems like a great ballplayer. He has speed and makes more contact than his brother of who I won't speak of anymore...

Iowa got crushed today 11-2.
Felix Pie went deep early but that was just about it for us.
Ryan O' Malley sucked it up today and I am off the bring him to Chicago bandwagon. He gave up 6 runs.

O'Malley is garbage. He's a AAAA pitcher at his best.

Marshall had another solid start today for Iowa and Marmol has been moved to the pen for obvious reasons. Our pen needs a guy who can just bring it. Aardsma was that guy but Hendry gave up on him way too soon. Hopefully we'll see him up here in the not too distant future.

Return to Chicago Cubs
