What is LeBron's value in a dynasty H2H league?

Post#1 » by azuresou1 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 7:10 pm

I recently traded for LeBron, giving up Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo for him, but I'm looking to move him due to fandom reasons (I loathe LeBron and I feel it's a conflict of interest to own him).

What sort of value could I expect to flip him for? I'd be looking for legitimate PF/Cs, and was thinking of packaging him with Wilson Chandler or Corey Brewer for Dwight/Bosh, or Lee/Lopez, or something along those lines.

Depending on how he meshes in Miami statwise, he could be anywhere from the 1st most valuable to the 3rd most in a dynasty H2H. Honestly I have no idea how you got him for Gay and Mayo, both of whom are, if I'm being generous, average fantasy contributors.

Dwight and Bosh may be a good deal if you are going to build around Dwight the right way, there is plenty of stuff written up on how to do that. But don't sell LeBron short just because you don't like him.

You got Lebron for just Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo in a Dynasty League? As in, you get to keep him forever if you want? I would not accept anything less than a 1st and 3rd or high 2nd and 3rd. Maybe Stoudemire and Joe Johnson or Josh Smith/Rondo. Dwight/Bosh might be a little much, but Lee/Lopez could be attainable.

Well it's a dynasty league, so he was clearly banking on OJ Mayo improving. Who knows, maybe he was even LilOJMayo.

Here's my current team (16 player H2H, standard cats):

PG: Stephen Curry
SG: Tyreke Evans
G: Marcus Thornton
G: Corey Brewer
SF: LeBron James
PF: JJ Hickson
F: Marvin Williams
F: Yi Jianlian
C: Andris Biedrins
C: Marreese Speights
Util: Wilson Chandler
Util: Wesley Matthews
BN: Jonny Flynn
BN: Aaron Afflalo

Dude, you got him for Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo and you want to flip him now?!?! Keep him! It's not Rudy Gay is a likable guy either. Wow ... that is a huge steal. I can't believe your league allowed this to happen ... If you absolutely feel compelled to trade him, maybe you should hold him for a bit. I feel like he's way undervalued right now and his stock should go up as he starts racking up trip-dubs ... after he puts up some monster stat lines, maybe you can get deron williams or a brook lopez + picks ....

Lebron James is not going to start averaging 15, 5, and 5 anytime soon. His statistical production WILL NOT take a nosedive now that he is in Miami. I can guarantee you that. A few less PPG for better efficiency and utility stats (STLS + BLKS)? That should be taken any day of the week.

You'll note that the trades I am looking for are hardly undervaluing IMO - LeBron + C.Brewer for a Dwight/Bosh combo would be very fair.
