Javaris Crittenton

Post#1 » by myrak433 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 6:36 pm

Charlotte Bobcats have waived guard Javaris Crittenton. you think this guy could help us out? Bibby is done. I wouldn't mind bring him in and having JT, JJ, JC2 and Crittneton as ou back court rotation...... OH and JC1, I forgot about him. I still think we need someone who can rebound the ball and protect the paint on defense. I would like to get Erick Dampier, Josh Boone, Fabricio Oberto, and or even give Sean May a shot. H,,,,E,,,,L,,,,,L I wouldn't mind bring Sean May and Rashad McCants to team back up with MW. what do you guys think of that????

PG= JT, Crittnenton, JC2, and JC1
SG= JJ,JC1,JC2
SF= MW, McCants
PF= SMOOVE, BOONE, May
C= Horford, Dampier, Oberto

I like that team...

Who was Crit in competition with in Charlotte? Augustin, Livingston, Sherrod Collins?
Jamal, Jeff, Jordan, Bibby and even Pape look like a more competitive and crowded PG corps than Charlotte's so I don't see how he'd have a chance here. I'd say pass, Powell already fills our quota for hometown scrub.

Ok see where you are coming from. but what about the rest of the lineup?

No, I don't see where he could help us. I'm ready to write of Javaris as one of the only players to not play better at the next level than he did at Georgia Tech. I'm not sure what the reason was but he never put it together. He'll have to prove himself in a lesser league before I give him a shot to make the team.

Well as far as the others you listed
McCants is out of the league because of his attitude, tells you something. Weird but tells you something.
May is done because his knees just can't hold up his robust frame.
We already have 3 backup centers under contract making the only interesting pick up (Oberto is beyond done) no longer feasible but I do like Boone better than Powell.

This who I originally wanted to draft back in 2007 with that Indy pick. I thought his upside was potentially where Russell Westbrook is right now...but that his downside was a "toolsy" Reece Gaines type player who remained below average at just about everything.

Going to europe for a year would really help his game. He needs to learn how to play in a structured environment over there.
