with livingston being so iffy, i think we definitely need to keep a close eye on any vet pgs that are available.

Hope that vet PG is clearly on the radar. Man, picking Collins over Javaris just smacks of a Larry move. Love's his KANSAS connection...ignores the obvious issues and limitations.

This coach drives me nuts sometimes.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

From 229 to 213, that's quite an improvement.

But I think the Bobcats or Sherron should get a dietitian or a special chef to watch his diet. He really has conditioning issues ever since.

I heard him in an interview saying he made a plan with someone on the staff, I think.

Wanted Javaris to make the team but oh well. I wanted to go to the game yesterday but decided against making the multiple hour trip down to Columbia and back.

You know what this means right? Larry Hughes shall return, watch it.

He's a lot better than that fool Carrol.

-- I have friends among the advance scouts from other teams, and here's what I heard: Sherron Collins is a butterball and isn't all that wonderful as a point guard. They anticipate the Bobcats searching the waiver wire for a better alternative as the third point guard, particularly with Livingston injured.

I don't know whether that will happen, but it was illuminating how dangerous they think it is to trust Collins right now as the defacto backup point guard.

We desperately need an old vet Pg, who can fill in when required. Its a given that Livingston is going to miss some time this year and I don't want to see Collins getting many minutes.

Jason Williams looked good for Orlando last year, is he available?

Jason williams isn't available. He's on some team or another, I can't remember which.

I thought about Jamaal, but didn't he suck in Memphis?

Would he be happy to be a back up?

I was thinking about Anthony Johnson, very unexciting old Pg, but he has always been pretty reliable and will play whatever role you will give him. Even though he is older than dirt, he still had a better year than Tinsley last year.

A quick update, and I'll expand on this later in the day:
Larry Brown said post-game that Collins, due to several injuries, just couldn't run effectively Wednesday, so playing Diaw at point was by necessity, not just an experiment.

Seriously - are we actually prepared to go into the regular season with two gimpy back up PG's?!?!?!

Of course not, LB's found his new PG in Diaw. Another project for him.

No they have Duhon now, and Jason williams is somewhere else. Maybe I'm wrong, either way we can't have him.

They kept Williams and let Anthony Johnson go. If Anthony hasn't retired, he'd be worth a pickup. He's also from Charleston, SC (I'm sure he still lives there) so he's not going to be far from his family. TBH, I would rather have a veteran like him over Livingston.

Ahh alright. Well johnson is kind of old, but he is a hometown guy. I think he even went to college in the area. But we're 3 deep with questionable PG's, no need to add another question mark.
