H2H, 12 teams, 8 stand cats
I LOVE what Beasley and Cousins will do this year. I need some boards and was wondering if I should do this trade. Is this something that I should go after? My team has some serious injury concerns at the C spot. Tell me your thoughts!
My team is:
1. (3) Chris Paul (NO - PG)
2. (16) Gerald Wallace (Cha - SF,PF)
3. (40) Derrick Rose (Chi - PG)
4. (46) Manu Ginobili (SA - SG)
5. (51) Carlos Boozer (Chi - PF,C)
6. (63) Kevin Martin (Hou - SG)
7. (73) Andrei Kirilenko (Uta - SF,PF)
8. (75) Lamar Odom (LAL - SF,PF)
9. (103) Al Harrington (Den - PF,C)
10. (116) Dorell Wright (GS - SG,SF)
11. (142) Darko Milicic (Min - PF,C)
12. (147) Spencer Hawes (Phi - C)
13. (149) Kirk Hinrich (Was - PG,SG)
Thanks

i don't think there's a big increase in rbs. you do get more, but not that much. beasley not much of a rebounder, but he can get 8rpg in minnesota. cousins will have a hard time getting more than 8 in that loaded frontcourt, all of their bigs can rebound.
boozer's stats should stay the same, and hinrich can get 2rpg in 20min. thats about 12 from both of them. and beasley/cousins about 16.
also, each position should have at least 3 players. you got 2 at pg now. u got wat you wanted in this trade, but maybe you should've looked at other teams.

Re: Trade offer: Boozer Hinrich for Beasley & Cousins
All in all, am I not getting the better deal with Beasley and Cousins. I know Boozer will get the 20/10 with good fg% but he won't get the sexy stats. I believe Beasley will get 16/7 with 0.5 threes and almost a block and steal a game. With Bert out in Sac Town, won't Cousins bloom like he has in the preseason. Maybe get 17/9 with at least a block a game. Is that wishful thinking for those two? I guess I'm trading my guaranteed 20/10 and backup PG for POTENTIAL sexy numbers from Beasley and Cousins. I'm trying to get them cheap now in case they do what I believe they will. Is that too much or a gamble?
Thoughts?
Thanks for the reply!

didnt know sammy d was out for 4-6 weeks till i just check now. cousins should benefit from his absence, prolly hover around 1blk/stl. and beasley will get the rare cats. you have a better gain with blocks than rebounds in this trade. i just thought you wanted to get a bunch of rebounds.
so ya u get the sexy stats. good potential.
but for cousins, post all star break if kings are healthy (which i think they will) his blocks will go away cuz of sammy d, who's their best defensive big. till then you can milk his slave labor.

So if you were me, what would you do? Lol. You are convincing me out of it b/c you think Cousins potential will plateau when Sammy gets back. Correct? I appreciate your time and feedback!

The Kings aren't going to bench Cousins if he is playing well when Dalembert gets back...he is their future. Personally I don't expect much from Beasley, but I do like Cousins.
Who would trade for a guy that is going to be out for 2 months though? I wouldn't trade Cousins for Boozer right now.

well first, what stats do you want? rebounds, blocks, 3s? this trade gives you a bit of the rare stats AND few extra rebounds. it sounded like you wanted a lot more rebounds, but you only get a few more with this trade. if you want a significant increase in rebounds, you shouldnt trade boozer. if u only wanted a few more rebounds and some blocks, then this trade is good.

whether the value is there isn't the question. how it fits your team is. PG are a premium and you seem set with rose and paul.
All i can say is, boozer was a top 25 player pre injury. you dont trade a player like that when his value is lowest. even - dalembert they still have a lot of big men for cousins to share time with. I personally would never trade a top25 player for two players who cant crack the top 100
