I can see why you think that, but Dudleys recent weight loss makes him better at the 2, where he will be guarding faster/shorter guards. He may not be the most athletic shooting guard, but he excels in many other areas which make up for the lack of athleticism.
Dudley's shot is good enough for him to play the 2. It's consistent, and he has great range on it. Dudley's on the ball defense is definatly good enough. Last season he averaged a steal a game in just about 24 minutes of play. When on the court, he goes after every ball. He hustles on offence and defense.
I dont see any problem with Dudley being in the mix as the shooting guard of our future.
