That was a signing, but yeah I thought he would have contributed more by now. He will probably get cut when Starks gets off the PUP.

The Packers sent a conditional seventh-round pick to the Jaguars for S Anthony Smith, the Florida Times-Union reports.

I love the move now.

If you're with him when the bus hits I might be willing to make that sacrifice.

I would make that sacrifice. Lucky for TT im moving to NC in a few weeks.

As you'll recall, Smith was our "big free agent signing" after the 2008 year, along with a lineman. Unfortunately, although he played well in preseason, Smith was cut along with the lineman.

Now he is our big trade acquistion this year as well as our big free agent acquisition from 2009. I assume we'll lose him to free agency this offseason, but will claim him off the street in 2012, becoming our huge midseason acquistion in our push for glory that year.

Stupid question. With Harris on the way back and the Jaguars willing to trade him before their game tonight, wouldn't it have been super-cool if we coulda made this move a few days earlier, even?
