Alot of mental mistakes by the Lions, but the zebras didn't help. Giants were allowed to do whatever they wanted out there and not get called for anything. I'm surprised we were even in the game considering.

1-5 sucks. Luckily we have the bye. Hopefully our guys can rest up and go back out there fresh and on fire. A home win against the Redskins would be a GREAT start. Take care of homefield.

How about Suh so far? 4.5 sacks through 6 games? He's on pace for 12 sacks, just 1 shy of Reggie Whites 13 sacks as a rook.

Makes you wonder how the hell Arizona is 3-2 with a -50 point differential.

In fact, a number of "winning" teams have gotten by without outscoring their opponents overall.

Washington 3-3 -6
Tampa Bay 3-2 -31
Arizona 3-2 -50
St. Louis 3-3 -10
Miami 3-2 -23
Houston 4-2 -14
Jacksonville 3-2 -30

Lions are the ONLY team with under 2 wins who has a positive point differential. :x

You have to think that eventually this will equal more wins. Lions aren't playing horribly. Mental mistakes, bad calls, a few 50/50s that fell in favor of our opponents have all contributed to our demise so far.

Yeah in a sense, you could say we are just missing "logic", the #1 most important ingredient.

If you would have told me before the season that we would go into the bye week with one big win, a bunch of very close losses (no big losses), all with Stafford hurt, I would have been pleased. I still am.

We are close to competing. Getting Matt back will really, really help. This bye week is perfect timing for us, with CJ, Best and Stafford all sporting injuries.

You sound like the coach happy at 1-5 you know that lossers mentality.

I'am not happy at 1-5 if they were coached better teaching them to advoid penaltys they could have a much better record.

The Lions lead the NFL with 59 penalties. They had 11 penalties for 91 yards in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the New York Giants, who only had two penalties for 15 yards

Yeah we should be a SB contender this year, not being so is atrocious. We have had WAY too many opportunities to get there by now, and the fact that we are not the best team in the NFL today is terrible, and the PROJECTION i have that we will not be the undisputed #1 best team on paper or arguably close to it to start next year is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE.

Neither are 31 other teams. Is it just as completely inexcusable for all of them as well? If it's so easy to be the undisputed #1 team in the NFL, why isn't every team the undisputed #1 team?
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Well a lot of teams aren't in good position to quickly evolve that way, and if everybody was a perfectly equal genius well then the luck factor is going to by default create a result of one team ranking #1 and another team #32, that's always inevitable. And there isn't one team in the NFL that is run anywhere remotely close to how good they should be ran. That's why it would be so easy for the right person to create an elite destiny with a much stronger probability than any average GM has that is competing with other average GMs. It's like having a Olympic race with 10 people that are just randomly chosen from anywhere. You can still have a race but it would be far more well-advised to handpick a professional runner if there is no rule that says you can seek out the best if you are able to find them, and if not then feel free to go with the house potluck.
