I can't wait for January; I have tickets for Koivu's first game back. Did they give a tribute to Modano like Gagne's or was it just a thank you screen? Cause I think he deserved a video in the very least; the franchise as a whole treated him like **** the last 2-3 seasons.

And the worst call of the season...almost cost the Penguins the game, and Comeau assisted on both Islander goals on the major penalty (without missing a shift)

That's a ridiculous call. That was a clean hit, but if you are going to call something the absolute most you can call is 2 minutes for roughing or something.

Yeah that's a pretty bad call. It just looked vicious because of the helmet flying and that's probably what made the ref make the call. But it was clean.

I have a feeling we're going to see a ton of suspensions this year and a lot of defenders getting beat because they'll be too scared to try and lay out a guy with the risk of suspension.

Malhotra just flipped out and pushed some woman wearing a Wild jersey behind the Canucks bench.

What a jackass. And those two fans better have gotten their money back or at least free tickets to another game. All the dude did was clap.

Are you kidding? I turned the game off right before that to watch the baseball game and I missed it. I recorded the replay tomorrow, they better have that part in it since it's only two hours.

That's a guy he pushed, I believe. Still pretty funny.

The only thing that angered me about it was the fact they got kicked out of the game.

Rypien's such an moron. 3 games for pushing the fan seems about right, but he should get at least 10 games for that cheap shot he took at Staubitz.

At least 5, probably. You just can't do that.

Indefinite suspension it is. Should be fun to see how harsh the NHL wants to be

Vancouver Canucks forward Rick Rypien has been suspended six games for his altercation with a fan on Tuesday in Minnesota.

The forward attended an in-person disciplinary hearing on Friday morning in New York, that also included NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and vice-president Colin Campbell among others.

The Canucks also were fined $25,000, as required by League policy.

Rypien gets 6 games.

Oilers lose again! But on a positive note Eberle and Paajarvi are looking like studs.

Eberle really reminds me of Zach Parise; small, speedy, crafty and explosive. Paajarvi on the other hand is so strong on the puck, he loves to drive to the net, he's got great hands and he's pretty fast.

If they can finally get some big names signed (especially on the back end) they'll be incredible in two years. They have to starting contending before Hall/Eberle/Paajarvi's contracts are up, though. Once all the big long term contracts start setting in, it gets too hard to stay a top team unless you get some bargains. That's where the Habs are stuck right now.
