Thunder @ Nuggets

Post#1 » by el loco » Tue Oct 19, 2010 9:18 pm

Again there is no stream available for this game in any of the places where a stream can usually be found that I can find, so it will be another game followed by listening to it on the radio/audio.

The Nuggets preseason coverage blows

Reserve point guard Anthony Carter, battling a hamstring injury, won’t play tonight.

Karl also said that tonight’s game, in regards to rotations, will be coached “like a regular-season game.” He will do the same in Portland and then “probably lighten up in the last game.”

At shootaround this morning, Nuggets coach George Karl said he expects reserve center Chris Andersen to return by Dec. 1 and starting forward Kenyon Martin to possibly return by Jan. 1. Both players are recovering from knee surgery. The Nuggets official twitter account also tweeted this information.

The Nuggets have their final home preseason game tonight against Oklahoma City, and then Denver will play at Portland on Thursday and Phoenix on Friday, before opening the regular season the following Wednesday, Oct. 27, against Utah.

The article also said that Harrington has started running again and is going to try to make a go of it in the final preseason game.

Can't really tell what the heck is going to happen with this team this year!

Feeling lot more optimistic than the summer for sure.

OKC aren't even using their first unit.

No reason why we should as well. Gives minutes to Forbes and Boateng.

All we have to base things on is a box score and a radio broadcast. Based on this Williams has put up good stats when he has received minutes starting at the 4, it doesn't look like he does as well when he comes off the bench because his production drops big time when he does. It might be smarter to start him and bring Harrington off the bench.

Smith and Afflalo have both been playing great this preseason and Billups and Lawson are a quality pg combo, so we are set in the back court.

Balkman has been putting together some decent games.

Melo has been Melo

Nene hasn't impressed me a bit this preseason, he still doesn't crash the boards as well as he should and he never takes over a game on the offensive end. He is disappointing because he should be so much better then he is.

You have to accept that Nene is who he is, I don't see him ever taking the next step even while he is still oozing the potential to be so much more.

As for tonight's stat sheet it looks great until you notice Green put up 29 points on 61% shooting, and he was the only starter playing for the Thunder

Afflalo seems to have had a solid game yet again. I think he'll surprise a lot of people while putting mid teen ppg.

Shelden williams looks like a solid signing. He's not that old and could probably improve a bit.

Do you think Balkman will be in the rotation with Harrington available?

Disappointed that Boateng was waived before Ely who I thought was clearly the worst player these preseason games.

I think the dleague draft is coming up, would not surprise me if the cut him so he has a chance to get drafted in the d-league, as I doubt either one of them end up with the team.
