Even then, Kaman has been killing us before he was even good.

Hahaha, true but not like that. He was freaking Dirk Jr. out there tonight. Back in the day he just plowed right through Brad Miller, tonight he just finessed his way into domination.

I mean, just one glance of Kaman for the first time, I wouldn't have guessed that he plays basketball for a living. But in reality, he is a beast. All star caliber even.

That's cause we essentially MADE Kaman into an All Star calibur player. EVERY SINGLE TIME we've ever played the Clippers, Kaman has looked like an All Star. He just finally started carrying that over into other games.

The one in particular was that swipe in which I think he literally made no contact with Kaman. That put him in foul trouble and he had to become completely invisible on defense just to stay in the game. He played some physical D early and got called for some crap, yet the Clipps were pretty much doing the same fronting techniques, yet, no calls.

That's not what happened. He just plain sucked on defense, and he will continue to for a while. Eventually he won't, but for now, he does.

Some plays were most certainly his fault, but I don't know what you were doing at the time to miss the play I'm referring to but it was HORRIBLE. If there was even any contact at all it was minimal to the highest degree possible. It was moreso the number of the foul and the timing that in turn caused Cousins to have to completely disappear on defense in order to compensate and that's what I have a problem with. I've watched the NBA long enough to know "rookie treatment" when I see it. I've never agreed with it, and still don't.

You know another guy in this category......Joel Pryzbilla. Of course he never really turned it on against other teams but he'd always dominate the Kings.

As far as Cousins goes I kind of agree with both Mitch and SacK. I think Cousins is terrible at defense like almost every rookie is when they enter the league. Even future all league defenders have trouble their first couple of years, so as a fan base we're going to have to patient. I think we also have to keep in mind that Cousins is a big guy, and as a big guy he will likely take a little more time to develop in all areas. In the NBA big guys tend to be like QB's in the NFL, they take a bit longer than most other positions to figure things out (or at least tend to, there are of course examples of guys who get it right away). However SacK is also right in that he was getting some unfair "rookie" treatment.
