Both Hardy and Carlos were connecting, actually I like CBR's analogy, a 100th of a second could have decided that fight. You get 2 mean SOB's in there both swinging for the fences and leaving it all in the cage Hardy could have very well KO'd Carlos in that exchange aswell. What won it for Condit was his reach.

His technique was better too. Hardy’s punch wasn’t compact enough to make contact and from what I remember, it wrapped around Condit’s head.

He still needs one more win for a title shot. Beating the Kampmann/Shields winner or Fitch in a #1 contender fight would do the trick though.
