NBA Star Baron Davis Accused of Dirtball Attack

Los Angeles Clippers star Baron Davis is being sued for allegedly firing a "dirt clod" at a paparazzo's face -- and according to the suit, it all went down at Kate Hudson's place.

The photog -- not our guy -- claims he and a pack of shutterbugs were "legally standing on public property" outside of Kate's L.A. home back in 2008 when Kate and Baron arrived.

According to the suit, the photog claims Baron, "apparently unnerved by the media attention, picked up a dirt clod and threw it" ... striking the pap in the face and eyes.

The photog claims he suffered some serious damage to his eyeball -- and wants Baron to fork over more than $25,000 to make things right.

Scum photographers if you ask me... much to do about nothing. Never heard the term dirt clod in my life.

I can see how a dirt clod could hurt your eyes if it hits you square in the face, nice shot Baron. I'm sure the photographer is just suing Baron because he plays in the NBA. If a child or normal person did the same thing I'm sure nothing would be done about it.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

At least he hit his target. When I was 11 or 12, I once threw some dirt/mud at my cousin (he would have deserved it) and hit the wrong person. I had to duck real quick, but I didn't get caught. There was so many people around that the victims couldn't point me out.
