Who would you rather see win this weekend?
I know this is a Packers' board in a Packers' state, so I presume a split in favor of Green Bay, but I'm curious about how big the gap is. Both teams have rivalry games with huge implications on postseason accomplishments.
If the Packers lose against the Vikings they fall into 3rd in the division and would be rather probable to not even make the playoffs in a season with high hopes going in. And they'd have only one more shot at beating the old man if actually were to retire this time around. In addition the Vikings would extend their winning streak in the series to 4 games.
If the Badgers were to lose they're about finished as far as winning the Big Ten and making a BCS bowl in a season where they also had high hopes (albeit not to same level as the Pack). Plus, the Hawkeyes would further the stranglehold they've had over the Badgers in recent years. And Wisconsin wouldn't have a chance to exact revenge for 3 years. Also, the game likely has major recruiting implications as well.

If Bucky had beaten Michigan State then I'd take the win over Iowa. Badgers would be sitting top 5 in the polls with a chance at the title game. Since that didn't happen Pack 100%.

Both. It's really hard for me to pick just one, though if I had to I'd probably pick the Badgers. One more loss and the Badgers at best play in the Capital One Bowl. The Packers can still beat Favre in Minnesota later in the year, another loss and the Badgers season is pretty much over.

I think the Packers season is over for all intents and purposes if we lose against the vikings. We would be down 2 tie-breakers and atleast 1 game behind the bears with Jets, Cowboys, etc coming up

Re: Who would you rather see win this weekend?
Sadly I expect both to lose, slightly higher hopes for UW. I'll be in Iowa for this one as I continue my fanboy tour of not living in Madison and seeing 6-7 games (or at least being in the same city).
Anyways, if UW was 7-0 I would agree that it would have to be them. If they lose, they'll underwhelm their expectations and that is nothing new.
If the Pack loses given their schedule we can start worrying about draft pick and also cheer hard for everyone but the queens.

I used to. I haven't for quite a while though. I'm a homer man. They either read this board or it was purely a coincidence. The latter probably is more likely. It's a natural thing to wonder on the verge of a sports weekend with two huge local games.

I realize the Badgers beat the Buckeyes, but that is because there vastly over-rated QB can't pass, any QB that can pass will have a field day with the Badgers...I like Iowa by 10 points plus.....having said that, the Packers have no chance without Clay Matthews, if Matthews plays the game might be worth watching, if not Minnesota by at least 14, probably more.

You guys are flippin' crazy.
It's the Badgers 100%.
I don't care two **** about the Dongslinger. I'd gladly take a chance at the Rose Bowl (which we have two ways of getting, i.e. MSU wins out and goes to National Championship game or MSU loses two), over a game full of hype yet little substance in what appears to already be a lost season for the Pack.

That's my feeling also. Plus, even if UW beats Iowa, i have very little hope that things would end up playing out with the Badgers winning the Big Ten. They'd either lose one of the rest of their games or Michigan St. wouldn't lose two games as would be needed.
Plus, as others have stated, i can't stomach the thought of not only Favre winning again in Lambeau, but them also potentially getting on any sort of roll that leads to the Queens winning the weak NFC.

That's assuming if UW beat Iowa, they would also win out the last four games. I love Badger football, almost as much as the Packers, but i've seen Wisconsin lose/gag a game away to often over the years vs a team they should beat.
Indiana at home should be a lock, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that even if UW beat Iowa, that they then lost one of the games vs Purdue, Michigan, or Northwestern.

Well you never know with Purdue and apparently their new QB looked good (albeit against those mighty Gophs) but Purdue is missing most of its offensive firepower to torn ACLs.

If the NCAA didn't have their head up their ass with the BCS I'd take the Badgers. An 8 team playoff would mean we'd have a shot and I'd love that. But I couldn't care less which bowl game we get in.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm a way bigger Packer fan than a Badger fan. It isn't even close for me. I need to see Rodgers beat Favre.
