Best free agent pick-up

Post#1 » by creative1 » Fri Oct 22, 2010 3:48 pm

I have a very solid team in a 12 team, H2H, standard cat league and I'm looking to drop Rasual Butler for one of the following players:

A. Afflalo
G. Teague
T. Mozgov
L. Williams
F. Garcia
K. Hinrich
T. Outlaw
O. Casspi
M. Speights
M. Dunleavey
C. Brewer

I originally picked up R. Butler for L. Williams because I wanted to pretty much guarantee winning 3pt shooting as the rest of my team are strong 3pt shooters. He puts me over the top but it might be overkill. Butler also has to share time with R. Gomes this year so I'm thinking I should pick-up someone else. I'm leaning towards Afflalo because he is the clear starter in Denver and he's playing really well in the preseason. I also like Teague as I think he'll be the starter in Atlanta soon and Mozgov looks to be good in NYC. Please take a second to give me your feedback.

Here is my current squad:

PG
Stephen Curry
Brandon Jennings
Jameer Nelson
Jose Calderon

SG
Eric Gordon
JR Smith

SF
Rudy Gay
Dorrell Wright
Rasual Butler

PF
Tim Duncan
Drew Gooden

C
Brook Lopez
Andrea Bargnani
Tiago Splitter

Afflalo has had a great preseason and looks like he can be a serious contributor on offense for the Nuggets especially if Melo is dealt.

+1 ... If Daye is there I'd go Daye or Dunleavy. Dunleavy isn't the sexy pick but when Granger goes out he'll see his value increase even more.

Garcia is also an interesting pickup, when he gets minutes he's an absolute baller and easily better than all the guys you listed. The question is, will he get minutes?

I would think sooner than later the Kings will start him but who knows...
