KINGS @ UTAH

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Oct 22, 2010 3:56 pm

Jazz go for 8-0 in pre-season:

Line up likely to refelct opening day starting line up less DWILL who is out for personal reasons (wonder what those personal reasons are as what makes you miss a friday night game--aniversary??? no one died right?? cant imagine what they might be!!)

PG Watson (maybe Price starts)
SG Bell
C Jefferson (He says he is playing but I hope coaches hold him out) (Fess alternate starter)
PF Millsap
SF AK-47

Is finishing 8-0 important? I see no injuries as much more important!
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Finishing healthy and with a better understanding of how eachother play are more important than finishing 8-0.

I guess we'll see some two point guard action with Watson at the 1 and Price at the 2.

There's no reason not to play Jefferson. His injury isn't something that will get better or get worse. He just needs to get used to it.

No.

Bell might sit out with a sore shoulder. Expect the bench to play more minutes on this game.

I expect Price and Elson to get a lot of minutes. Hayward and Evans too, though they will likely see considerable minutes in the real season so we don't want them to hit a rookie wall early. Price and Elson are the eleven and twelve.

Al's hand could benefit from a break to let the bruise calm down . . . but not enough to give up getting used to the offense.

Al needs all the time he can get playing with his new team. If he was used to the system by now, and in shape, I'd sit him for his hand. But not here.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

The role players all seem to know their role and are effective at doing what they are asked to do. That's good coaching and good chemistry. I sure hope this is a regular season phenomena.
