Stop Ignoring Elephant In The Room

Post#1 » by TheMan44 » Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:44 am

This thread can probably be in the "Suns/Nuggets Preseason" thread or the "Why I Should Not Worry" thread, but I figure it is time to have it's own space:

Suns fans ---> stop ignoring the big elephant in the room: The Suns stink.

Furthermore, I think the Suns brass (Sarver, Lon, Blanks, Gentry) is delusional in thinking this "versatile wing" roster of 5,000 small forwards playing all sorts of positions is going to work. Prove to me how it is going to be effective?

Every damn AZ-Repulic article shows a stupid Nash or Gentry quote saying, "We need to hustle and play smarter and need time," or some **** like that. It is like a broken record.

Face it. Suns need a major overhaul. Trading one of the wings for a PF such as David West or Jason Thompson would be a good start.

If the Suns need a overhaul based on preseason play then we should crown the Grizzlies champions right now.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with Sunsman here. I don't care how versatile and how deep a team is if most of that depth is in one position. You can only have 5 players on the court at once.

Sunsman44 can't you just annoy Rocket fans and leave our board? Is it that difficult? People like you make it hard for true fans to follow our board.

We haven't even played a single regular season game and yet we need an overhaul? I guess the Grizzlies are set with their lineup and ready for a championship run?

1. I am a true fan.

2. I am a realist. Prove to me how Suns are good. I dare you.

3. Do you find it funny that many of your veteran posters here - fantastic posters and fantastic people here on the board by the way - above agree with me?

Come on. Give me a break...

Pretty close. They have a good squad. Conley/Mayo/Gay/Zbo/Gasol.

No need to prove anything to someone that follows the Suns and Rockets. It's like me rooting for Lakers and Blazers.

No. Grizzlies prob won't win the title. But explain to me these things:

1. Why is it Suns have been blow-out by teams playing their scrubs 4 times this pre-season? And Nuggets didn't have 6 of their stars while Suns were only minus Hedo/Josh.

2. Prove to me these stats are wrong: http://www.82games.com/preseason.htm

3. Prove to me these odds are wrong: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/ar ... izzle.html

4. Prove to me why I should have no cause for concern: http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2010/10/1 ... ef:nbahpt1

Come on. Stop making stupid "Grizzlies" analogies and speak up some truth. Prove to me why I should believe you...

I made a prediction last year that Suns will make the finals and got blasted by many people. Well they didn't make the finals but where awfully close.

Ok.

Shoot me your prediction right now.

If you are right, I'll send you a check for $200.00.

No joke. Give me your e-mail address.

The Suns will probably be OK this year, simply because Nash will make the offense good enough to account for the crappiness elsewhere. 6-8 seed I would guess. However....next year I am really worried. I really really wish we didn't have this albatross of a Hedo contract hanging around our necks. This team is going to have to rebuild eventually, and I am terrified of Sarver doing salary dump trades during our rebuilding years to make up for the damage he did this offseason.

I really hope we do well. At the least, for Nash's sake. I just hope he's happy(no homo)
