NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
Minnesota-New England is the big one. Pats are 5-1 but don't look all that good to me. Queens off an emotional road loss. Queens season gets easier after this one, we need them to be 2-5.
Bears on a bye.
Broncos/49ers in London. YAWN.
Pitt/NO could be interesting. IF the Saints get their heads out of their asses.
Houston goes for the season sweep at Indy.
Every other game sucks.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
Didn't realize the Bears have a bye. Would be huge for the Pack to get win and take a half game lead in the division.

Go Packers, Patriots, Steelers, Cardinals, Lions, Jaguars, Raiders. Oh, and the Cowboys tonight.

I hate having to root for the 'boys, I love watching them suffer but unfortunately we do need them to win tonight.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
Why do we 'need' them to win? They are leading their division and wouldn't affect the Pack that much. This game looks like nothing compared to the 'Boys game against the Queens.

Giants are 4-2. We have to look ahead to possible wild card tie breakers and/or home field tie breakers. Any team with a better record than us in the NFC has to lose.

I see why we would root for the Cowboys, but this isn't a must win game. I'm just focused on the division at this point. If we some how come out of the next 4 games with a decent record, I will be more worried about position. I think our division is basically our only chance. Need to win all 3 of the remaining devision games.

Because the NFC is bunched as hell and we need any and all WC/division contenders to lose, both for making the playoffs and for seeding. Cowboys are not a WC/division contender right now and the Giants are.
It really doesn't have anything to do with "must win", it's setting up the best possible scenario for Green Bay moving forward.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
Normally sitting at 4-3 with a tough schedule ahead I would agree, it would be all about division and not wild card. But in the NFC this year 9 wins could get you a wild card so I'm rooting for any team ahead of us to lose.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
I agree with all of that, but I still think they end up above the Redskins. That's why I don't think they 'need' to win. More like it would be nice if the Giants blew it. I want the Cowboys to win, but I won't throw stuff or even blink if the Giants win. I'm more concerned about the Lions/Redskins game next week.

Am I wrong in the fact that the Chiefs may be the best bet in my survivor pool this week? And they aren't even a very strong pick.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
Chilly's presser today:
• How would you assess his mobility?
"I'm not giving any scouting reports. Better than an iron deer on the lawn."
• Was he wearing an orthotic in his shoe?
"I'm not a podiatrist. I couldn't comment on that."
• Will you have another conversation this weekend with him about how he's feeling?
"I'll speak with him, yeah, plenty. It's not like going to a confessional once a week,
that I have to go to church to speak to him. He's in and around the building all the
time. So the dialogue is generally ongoing. I know people view that as being called
to the principal's office, when you sit in my office, but we had a pretty good
conversation sitting right out here today for a long time."
• What do you expect to see from him on Saturday?
"That he wakes up in the morning. Nothing's given, right? That he can get in here,
and we'll see where he's at. That's my expectation. I don't have an expectation
because I don't know. Everybody would like to know. I don't know."

A good question would have been if he was healthy enough to play, would he automatically start?

Cardinals added LB Gerald Hayes and O'Brien Schofield to their active roster and released WR Onrea Jones and LB Alex Hall.
Curious to see how Schofield plays. Really wanted the Pack to take him.

Re: NFL WEEK 8: NON PACKER GAMES
I remember Newbz saying we were homers because we wanted Schofield in the 2nd round when that's where he was projected to go before his injury.
