I wouldn't say that. The NFL career went nowhere and you could say that his WWE success had more to do with the people around him.

He moved up in the WWE very quickly, he got some help I agree. But he was very very successful.

For someone who never played football to last that long with a team sure says something about him.

He's one of my favorite guys in MMA which is weird cause normally I go towards the mmore soft spoken guys. There is something about a guy that big being able to move like that. The dude is a flat out freak.

I watched the fight the other day vs Cain.
Enjoyed it a lot.

But kind of baffling to be honest. I don't get how a guy can have only 4 fights and and suddenly be be the heavy weight champion. In boxing you gotta have a buttload of ladder climbing fights before you even sniff a title shot. I used to hear/read on boxing/fight podcasts/articles people calling him the 'most dangerous man on the planet' and all this stuff.

I wonder how much of Brock's fame/infamy was a product of the way he carried himself because of his entertainment background in the WWE. Maybe his win's had that much more notoriety around them because of the showmanship abilities that he picked up in his years at the WWE.

That and the fact that he is one of the scariest looking mofos ive ever seen

Over the course of the past 2 fights I've got a much better respect for Brock as a person, and certainly will support his route back to the top, possibly now he's the only other HW I like in the UFC outside of Cain.

Brock is from the same area that I'm from so I've followed his career in wrestling (to some degree), attempt at pro football, and his career in MMA. He definitely brings negative publicity upon himself at times but he's a big draw partly for that reason. He's generally respectful of the fighters who respect him though.
