Gary Payton's Toughest Match-Up

Post#1 » by Deeefense » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:05 pm

Hey fellow Jazz fans,
I've been following the Jazz since 99 and have always been a fan of their style and work ethic despite being from NY
I've also been following realgm for years, but wanted to avoid posts due to the time factor, but I'm finally crossing over because this is the most I've looked forward to a Jazz season in a long time... (Hopefully I do not post too much lol)

Here's a video I haven't seen on the boards before but I think Jazz fans will appreciate it, it's basically a show of Gary Payton, and him admitting Stockton was his toughest matchup and why (Payton seems like he's on something in the video too)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-cG7uUBYxo

Enjoy and Go Jazz!

Always liked GP growing up.That sonics series in 96 hurt alot to lose.thought they would have done better against the Bulls that year but hey Jordan ruined alot of Stars dreams.

I was a big Sonics fan in the mid 90's, well basically during the Kemp years. It hurt to see the Sonics, then the Jazz fall to the Bulls. Jordan was a damn heartbreaker lol

GP always came to the Stock's defense when people called Stockton dirty. He was very vocal in his respect and admiration for Stockton's professionalism and general approach to the game. I've always liked GP for that.....

Someone should bump that general board thread about Stockton and Malone.
