Yeah this news has been out for a while today but it isn't going to require surgery and he can play if he wants to.

If Brad Jones is the one who finally ends Favre's streak, he should never need to buy a drink in Wisconsin again.

Wonder if the streak is going to finally come to an end. I believe he really is hurt, the guys is 40 years old and hasn't missed a game in 20 years, it's been a long time coming.

Or xTitan should at least buy him a drink.

On one hand I want his streak to end in our hands, on the other hand I want to see him finish the season and rack up the interceptions and dissent between himself and Childress.

Either way, its a win-win!

Went through many Mondays and Tuesdays in 9 years in GB where it looked like no way Brett would play. He played. He'll play.

I think he will play, but never in his time in Green Bay has there been a coach looking for any way to bench Favre like Childress is. It will be an interesting week. Chilly's job is on the line and, despite being Chilly, he has leverage over Favre. They both need to win THIS year. So even if Chilly benches Favre, he won't hold it against him later in the season. He will still be playing his ass off.

Chilly is a big talker and a bigger pussy. MANY times he's said he's "thought about" benching Favre. But he doesn't have the balls. Pathetic.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

As old as Brett looks like on the field and all the turnovers, the Vikings probably would win more games going forward with Jackson in the game if he avoided turnovers and used his feet to get some first downs.

Just run Peterson a lot and try to get Harvin the ball in places he can get into the open field.

I agree that Childress seems like an awful coach, but i do think you are understating how easy it would be to bench Favre in a game. Brett isn't Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels, you bench any high profile starting QB in a game, it can come with real ramifications which is why it's very rarely ever done regardless of how poorly that QB might be playing in any given game.

Mix in that Favre is the highest of high profile quarterbacks, Brett's ego, and their already strained relationship, if Childress yanked Favre from a game that wasn't clearly lost, their relationship likely couldn't be repaired enough to even just coexist professionally and the switch would need to be permanent.

For some reason I think if Favre doesn't play which I don't expect him too, Willie Beamen er...Tavaris Jackson is going to take this opportunity and run with it.
F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

Childress is no Tony D'Amato.

Though, back in the day I thought Favre was in Cap situation where he was an ultimate team player and Deanna was a total bitch.
