World Series Thread - Rangers vs. Giants

Well here we are. National League champions. Didn't see that coming did you? You said, this team lost two games where the starting pitcher gave up just a single hit. You said, this teams bullpen is overrated, and no one on the team can hit. You said, there's no way this team can win without it's heart and soul, Bengie Molina. Well that just proves you're an idiot. Go watch soccer.

They said we couldn't beat Roy Halladay, but Ssory Doc, you've been charged with malpractice. You're not a real doctor anyway.

And so now they say we can't beat Cliff Lee. And I can see why. The guy shoots baseballs out of the palm of his hand like SSJ Goku.

But here's the thing - we win. It's what we do. We can turn the opposing second baseman into pure trash using pure will alone. We did it to Brooks Conrad (MVP), and we did it to Chase Utley. If I were Ian Kinsler, I'd just go home now.

 at Javy Lopez the catcher

Should be a great game and it will definitely set the tone for the rest of the series. Thank god that **** rally monkey isn't gonna be at this world series.

Cain in SF is a good move. I'm somewhat surprised to see Sanchez in there.

I'm not. Who would you trust more in a game 3 right now, Sanchez or Zito? Sanchez was terrible in game 6, but he did have a hit that started our rally that tied the game. Plus, Zito hasn't pitched in...a month? No way we trust him to shut down one an offense like the Rangers. I am, however, a bit concerned if this goes to game 7. I suppose Tim would pitch game 5, then Cain in 6, but Sanchez in 7? Maybe we would switch it up, depending on how the series is going.

Three man rotation. Obviously not Zito.

Sanchez looked completely out of his mind in game six. And not in a good way. We can't afford to start someone who can't find the strike zone, especially if he let's his emotions get the better of him. We all know Sanchez. One bad call, or an error and he's self destruct mode.

I don't mind the four man rotation, but if there was ever a time to go with a three, it's now.

Perhaps, but there was never any chance of it happening. Sanchez is gonna pitch, and he probably won't do too badly. Colby Lewis is no Cliff Lee.

we've seen how Tim does when he doesn't get full rest, i'm not very comfortable going 3 man rotation.

It's not the opposing pitcher I'm worried about.

We wouldn't be here without Sanchez; you have to live or die with your starting pitchers. You can't be second guessing your starting pitchers in the World Series.

agreed, gotta go with your horses. i guess the question would be given sanchez's meltdown, should the Giants give him a home start to regroup and let Cain go at Texas? also, that means Cain for gm 7 if necessary, and that makes me feel better for some reason...

I like Cain for game 2 actually, since we have home field. Hopefully we set the tone and go up 2-0 and have sanchez pitch with less pressure. Plus Cain is more of a flyball pitcher and seems better for him to pitch at ATT rather than in Texas...
