NOH/SAC Deal

Post#1 » by JR_SMITH_5 » Tue Oct 26, 2010 8:00 pm

What do you guys think about a Jason Thompson for Marcus Thornton swap? JT is obviously buried on the depth chart and I believe he is too talented and has too much potential for that, just as Marcus Thornton who appears to also be buried on the depth chart and he is too talented for that. JT fills a huge need for the Hornets...can MT5 help you guys?

Nope. Landry might leave next year which would make Thompson our starting PF going forward. He's still productive in limited minutes too. Last year he was 12/8. He's not "buried" on our depth chart at all. He'll probably be our 6th man. Marcus Thornton isn't worth Thompson.

I love Marcus Thornton, but I wouldn't do this deal. One, you don't trade a rebounding/hustling big for a guard, not a fan of that. Plus, I feel Carl might leave us in free agency and we need to keep JT for depth purposes and other than just he is only getting better.

I am just pissed you guys got Bayless We the KINGS should have easily given up a future #1 for him as long as it was top 7 or so protected .

BAYLESS would have been a huge assett to our team... :(

^^bayless would havr been a waste on our team due to his lack of legitimate 3pt range.

As to the trade idea, no. Thompson is worth a lot more than thorton.
