Health and Splitter being as good as advertised and I'll be a happy Spurs fan.

Laker fan here and I feel that if the Spurs and Magic were to meet in the finals it would be a 6 game series in the favor of the Spurs

After reading McDyess' comments on Spitter and my thoughts that its unlikely that your boys are as unhealthy again, I think they are definatly in the top of the second tier.

Lakers

Spurs
Nuggets
Healthy Blazers

the rest of the West

Sadly we've gone from no-one expecting anything to over-rated in record time.

Yeah, the hype on the Thunder is off the charts. All based on 2 wins in the 1st round of the playoffs. OKC are a great team but they're not top tier imo.

Well, I think we rise on the West mostly because a lot of team got worse and have bigger question marks than us.

Other than LA, I think guys think Dallas will compete for homecourt in the 1st round (1-4 seed). They're a deep team that should be a really good regular season team.

After that, then there's us ofcourse.

Portland depends a lot on Oden. He's what seperates them from being a really good team to a great team.

Oklahoma IMO is just too young and I personally like our matchup if we are to meet the Thunder.

Nuggets have issues all over the place right now. First with Melo, and then now with Kenyon. IMO, they look like a team that's just gonna explode right now. And I mean explode in a bad way.

And then you got teams like Houston, who is a top team only if Yao Ming is actually healthy and without limitation. Utah with question marks since Booz left and replaced with Big Al. Phoenix obviously losing Amare doesn't look like a contender.

Right now, I really feel like we are the 2nd best team in the West. Dallas IMO is the biggest threat for that 2nd seed. If we can make it to the WCF (2 of the best teams in the West), then anything can happen.

Sounds about right.

Phoenix are done.

Denver are all over the place and have too many morons on the team.

Utah might be okay but are no more than a second round and out team.

Portland would be good if they could keep their players off the IR. Ditto for Houston.

Dallas have all the pieces and might be able to put it all together.

The Thunder are good but not ready yet.

And then there's us. I'm cautiously hopeful for the upcoming season.

Yeah, honestly I think even if we have the same team (No Splitter and no James Anderson) and only counting on improvements from Hill and Blair, I still feel like we're better than those teams. If Splitter and Anderson is good enough to become rotation players, even better because they definitely bring 2 of the things we really need. Size and shooting.

Jefferson has been a worthwhile as a **** tasting lollypop...

If he grows a set of balls, or get a Stephen Jackson Attitude transplant... we will not be a contender.

Tiago came 2 years too late... I think he will be a good solid player but not enough to make us up there with the best teams in the NBA.

Anybody watching Heat's preseason game right now againts Detroit? Granted, it's only the 1st quarter and I truly was hoping they suck or something but they're not. Lebron just finished the quarter with a dunk scoring 12 points and that's even without D-wade who pulled a hamstring early in the quarter. The good thing (bad for Miami) is that I don't think they go to Bosh at all so far. You see countless iso plays from Lebron but I was thinking he'll give up some and let Bosh do his thing.

Lakers are just wild with Kobe and Phil Jack alone...left alone all those other talent...hate to admit this but I am admitting it more this year than last.

The Spurs and Thunder are the two teams I don't want to see in the Playoffs. I have a problem betting against Tim Duncan. I wish your team the greatest of success this season.

Thanks. It would be really nice if these two teams can match up for one last epic showdown.

It would be even more fitting if this took place after you booted the Suns out of the postseason, yet again, but I am skeptical on the chance of that taking place.
