And to set the record striaght none of us believe he will be the next shaq or even come close but he gives us another dimension to the team that gasol will never provide

its really mind boggling to hear these anti bynum subjects when in reality every coach in the league says we're unmatched when we run the pau and bynum tandem.

i get that him being injured all the time is frustating but it is what it is and until his contract runs out, hes our starting center. POINT BLANK

I don't understand why this isn't understood. Good post.

Yes, let's PLEASE talk about STEVE BLAKE here.

Man, he and Shannon Brown won this game for us tonight.

Steve simply looked FANTASTIC!

HELLUVA pickup by Mitch. Wow. I'm blown away by his confidence and swagger.

Steve Muddafuggin Blake.

Of all the guys to play on a new team today... Bosh, Lebron, Shaq, etc etc... Blake topped em all.

Mitch did it! Always been a fan of Blakes game.

I knew he'd be solid despite his struggles in the preseason.. the guy is a baller.

With Brown having more and more confidence in his game, Blake, Barnes, and a more energetic Lamar Odom.. oh man, it should be one hell of a season.

Hell of a first game for Blake. He basically showed us that he can do the same thing Fisher does (primarily hit open clutch shots), minus the non-existent defense and play-making. In his first game.

More minutes please.

it was awesome to have him play well enough to sit down struggling Fish. We now have alot of clutch in the back court.

Favorite play might have been his quick outlet pass upcourt to Shannon for one of his 3s. Got the ball, looked up court, hit him right in his shooting pocket from 20 or 30 feet. Beautiful. I'm not expecting him to shoot like he did every night, but I do expect good, smart, fundamental plays like that.

Blake is a ballah. They'll be nights when his shot is off, but he'll always give you effort and he won't back down from anyone. I thought he was an excellent pick up for you... I'm glad he's with a franchise that will appreciate him properly.

Blazer fans said Blake chokes when there is a close game in the closing minutes. I saw no such thing last night.

I said it before during the offseason. Blake will help Shannon so much because he won't do what Farmar did and dribble out the clock and just give Brown a bad look. I cannot wait until we have our full rotation set in stone. The bench is going to be killer this year.

As great as that sound I would much rather see Blake with that 2nd unit than FIsher. I'm all for increasing Blake's minutes though so he gets quality playtime with the starters.

Last night I saw something out of the regular- Fisher was not in the game during the end of the game.
