When: Wednesday, October 27th
Where: FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN
Time: 7:00 PM CST

Overall Series:
Season Series: 0-0
Trivia Facts: ATL's Mike Bibby played for the then Vancouver Grizzlies from 1998 until 2001 when the team move to Memphis and Bibby was traded to the Sacramento Kings.

Keys to the Game

1. Come out the gates with energy and feed off the crowd.
2. Hit the boards with a purpose.

I don't follow to Griz, so I have question: why Gasols isn't @ starting 5?

He hurt his ankle, and they're not chancing it.

This article came out around 2 hours ago.

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/20 ... st-result/

The Grizzlies said Monday that their starting center has a grade 2 left ankle sprain. X-rays were negative and magnetic resonance imaging produced better-than-expected results.

Gasol's status is day-to-day but he will likely miss the Grizzlies' regular-season opener against Atlanta on Wednesday in FedExForum.

"I don't want to miss. But I'm realistic," Gasol said. "I can barely walk on it straight. That's a fact. And we have a game 48 hours from now.

"Being realistic, it's going to be hard to be there. Trust me. We all want to be out there. Injuries never come at a good time. But it's still early."

Yeah, I really doubted it given his comments. Oh well, we'll keep the ball rolling.

DA is really going to have to step up tonight.

How many of you are going to be in the game thread tonight?

It's too bad about Marc. But I'm still pumped about the game.

Wont be able to watch it because I have to watch my Rangers in the World Series, but hopefully we can come out strong and start the season with a W. It will make it tougher without Marc so we will obviously need Thabeet and the bench to play well.

GO GRIZZ!!!!!!!

Mike Conley has been the biggest surprise for me. He looks extra quick off the dribble and pretty refined offensively. He now needs to get his guys better shots because OJ is forcing.
