Huge disappointment to lose that game. At home versus a short-handed team with a slug for a #5 draft pick ... we looked like a bunch of goofs. I can just see Taylor gritting his teeth...
First lets cut the crap about Loves hustle ... he had like 10 boards the first half alone. When he was riding the pine the second half the Kings raped us on the O-boards with tons of second chances. I like Tollivers hustle, but he gave up some o-boards that led to points at critical moments so lets not make it sound so rosey.
Telfair pretty much screwed the pouch with a couple critical turnovers and also took a couple bad shots with planty of time on the clock - without even looking for a shooter (those are like turnovers)
Darko missed several easy bunnies under the basket and there is no excuse for a 7' center to miss those. That worries me - alot. At least he came back the second half and played some defense and blocked a few shots.
Glad to see Ellington get a shot, but he clearly is not the answer to a sarting SG. Stop it now.
No excuse for Johnson not playing more tonight. Clearly deserved more and we needed him.
Beasley struggles offensively playing off the ball and seemed confused.
No reason our wings could not make a backdoor cut for a layup/dunk ...
Cousins did not impress me whatsoever ... he appeared to be what I thought he was - a chump.
Rambis Rambis Rambis: It's one game, but I'm very concerned. He might have a system that he wants to impliment, but I don't think he really knows how to manage the game itself. Secondly, If they've actually spent as much time on defense as he's touted, then he better hire an assistant that really knows how to coach defense. Aslo, what about the emphasis on being a good passing team ... basically a catch-n-shoot if you ask me.
The refs had lots of quick whistles and made too many calls that will never be called 10 games into the seaosn. They always like to strut there crap early on.
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"
