Oh nice thread btw raff!

As we all know, Big Al usually goes off on us. Anyone want to predict his stat line? I'm going for 18/14

Goran Dragic is concerned about his availability tonight because of a sore left knee. He only played 13 minutes Tuesday but did not leave due to the hit he took on his knee.

Ah ok, yeah just mentioning it because of the curse. Hopefully we can have a little more luck like last year with TNT.

Idea: Play Lawal... He can rebound, nobody else can. I'd like to see us at least try him out for 15 minutes. I feel another murdering on the boards coming tonight

I want us to do this but IIRC Lawal is on the IR list with Janning at the moment. Plus Gentry probably wants to try his strategy out for more than one game to start out with, but yeah I wish we could get Lawal in there.

If it doesn't work tonight and tomorrow, I vote we swap him with Silar. It'd be great to trade for a very good player who happens to rebound, but it's not likely to happen for a while, so Lawal's pretty much the best chance we have to changing our rebounding woes. Lopez could rebound better, but it'd be swell to have 2 rebounders on the floor so we don't give up another 21 second chance points

Actually I think we will see Siler get some time tonight. He is very aggressive on the boards and with his size and reach he will help even out the rebounding, plus he sets a big mean screen.....

I think they will (hope is a better word) play him. I think the coaching staff is still not firing on all cylinders yet either, there was no reason for Lopez not to play at all in the 4th qtr, but aside from that they did nothing to adjust during the 4th qtr when they were on a that big run besides sit back hope Nash would take over the game instead of playing with a lot of ball movement and deferring to Jrich since he was playing so well. On top of that Hedo should have been handling the ball more in the 4th so they couldn't key in on Nash and Nash wouldn't have to exhuast himself trying to carry the load. We had guys standing around watching Nash, that's on the coaching staff for not noticing that and subbing out the players that were playing passive.........

TOTALLY agree. We're using him the same way Toronto did and we're not taking advantage of his strengths. He needs to be facilitating more, keeping the other team on their heels. If Nash handles the ball the entire time, the same game plan applies the entire time. When Hedo starts handling some, it'll add a new dimension to the offense

Exactly, one of the things they said when they brought Hedo was that he will relieve some of the ball handling duty from Nash to free him up to be more of a spot up shooter at times. I even think they should run him at the point at times with Jrich, Jchill, Warrick and Lopez.......

Lawal not being active is kinda puzzling to me. The only good rebounder we have....we don't even want to play? I wanna see what the guy can do.
Steve Nash is the point guard jason kidd wishes he was.

Al Jeff will murder us on the glass.

He'll be making me some nice cash tonight as I bet on him to grab 10 boards or more against us. I thought that was like taking candy from a baby...or like taking rebounds from the suns on the defensive and offensive glass haha.

Hope we get a win though!

Hahaha I know right. That's how betting goes you're always one off. I figured that was a pretty safe bet considering we're paltry at rebounding.
