Ex Kings in the NBA

Hawes = looked like himself, im glad we were able to somehow dump him and Noc for Bert.

Speaking of Noc, played ok, but once again took some crazy shots.

Kevin Martin had a good game with the Rocket but once again went into hiding come 4th Q, with only 4 of his 28 coming in the last period. His defense was.... welll.... lets just say dont wanna bring up bad times.

Brad Miller with only 2 mins for the rockets.

And a old favorite Mike Bibby still has some magic left , scored 19 points and had 4 assists.

Peja looks done in the NBA.

I follow the Kings, not players.

Peja has been gone so long it's not even worth mentioning. He's played a little over half his career in Sac. It's been so long it's time to let go.

The Kings have had so much player movement in the past three years it's easy to forget who was a King recently.

The only guy i really follow is Bibby and webber when he was playing. I think we have enough exciting young talent now to be happy with what we got. I hate reminiscing about the old days and how close we were just makes me angry.

I like to check in on guys a little. I saw an awesome back door pass from Miller to Martin against the Lakers, and even though our team really sucked a couple years ago, I got a little wistful. It was nice to see Kevin used the way he should be used again.

I watched alot of Bibby after he was traded to the Hawks. But recently I haven't really check tabs on him lately.

Martin/Miller are the only two ex-Kings players I checked quite a lot last year. I had (and now) the Bulls & Rockets for LPB. So I could see almost every game of theirs.

Also I watched Artest a bit too. I'm in La La territory, so I get all of the Lakers (& Clippers: Griffin FTW) games as well.

Past is done.

Don't know, don't care and have moved on. The future is unfolding in front of us.

How could anyone forget Ronnie Price's dunk on boozer? But I had no idea Amundson ever wore a kings jersey.

The past may be long gone. But seriously? How can you forget about former players like Biby, C-Webb, Vlady. I'm not sure about you kings fans.. but my heart still goes to many former kings players.

I'm thankful for what some of them done for our franchise, but they're the enemy now. Bibby is a Hawk, Stojakovic is a Hornet, and Martin is a Rocket, so eff 'em for all I care.

Sure, if you have an irrational hatred for him, that works too.

I'm sorry if that's what you think. I just don't gush for one-dimensional players who could give a ish (all for the bargain price of $10 million/year). Giving us the worst record in franchise history and refusing to gel with Tyreke doesn't impress me. Again, sorry.

I wonder if Smills is still watching Hawes' career in Philly? Because, damn, he sucked it up in his debut.

It seems that Martin got LIT UP last night. Rockets fans are saying what I've been for a few years now. He can score, but that means ish if he can't defend or do anything else. Bravo Petrie, for another fantastic move in trading that loser away.

Thats what happens when you make all your trades based on stats instead of actually watching someone's style of play

GIVING us the worst record? Who ELSE played worth a damn that year? You can't blame only one guy for that.
And refusing to gel??? Did he even get 10 games before getting traded?

LOL. I knew you would show up. I'm freakin' psychic.

Mitch Richmond willed us to the playoffs one year without any talent around him, but not Kevin Martin. 17 wins is good enough as long as he pads his stats and gets that fat contract, and it was pretty obvious from the news coming out of the locker room that Martin was being a cancer. He was chucking away to his heart's content at the expense of Tyreke. His ego couldn't handle Tyreke being a superior player, and it shouldn't be any surprise that the losses piled up. Why else do you think Petrie traded that loser away? And it's not like it was a "wow" deal either. Landry and peanuts. Martin certainly wasn't untouchable.

Go to the Rockets forum. They're having the same conversations that we had last year. They're realizing that his play is not conducive to winning basketball. All of his efficiency doesn't mean squat if he gives up as many or more points on the other end. On the Warriors board the other night they characterized Martin as a black hole, and they're right (and I'm not one to agree with Warriors fans).

EDIT: And what's really funny about the trade is that Morey probably thought he **** us over using his fancy Moneyball analysis, but little does he know that there's a whole lot more to basketball than stats. Thank God Petrie knows that.
