After Houston, an easy month to get healthy?

Post#1 » by vmor » Mon Oct 25, 2010 9:32 pm

Looks like the schedule is giving Lakers a chance to get healthy in the first month: starting against the Rockets, but then no heavy contenders until Chicago (Nov.23) and Utah (Nov.26) and maybe Denver? Even December looks OK, with just Rockets and Bulls again to get Lakers ready for the Heat... unless 'easy' puts them to sleep. Let's hope that all the new guys have something to prove.

No team is easy when you're trying to get healthy.

I'm with you. Not that it'll be "easy" per se, but it's a damn favorable schedule for us and this team is good enough to win just about all these games. I hope Kobe was messing around all preseason and is ready to shoot 80% in the season.

I'll be interested in seeing what sort of desire this team has early on. The newbies should get plenty of minutes. We can't underestimate the impact that having 5 new rotational players will have on our team identity.

Ron will receive his FIRST ring in front of his former team. How sweet it is. Good thing Trevor won't be there to WITNESS it.

I think it's very favorable month for the Lakers to take time and heal those injuries. We should have a great start.

We're fortunate to have a better bench this year to add.

Every game is hard. Those teams that did not do well last year added a young lottery player, so now they are just that much better. So take it game to game and one win at a time and hope for the best and get AB back and hope the olds and youngs on the Lakers come together and make it a great season.

The Lakers can't have the mindset of taking "easy" teams lightly, especially during this season.

I agree with LA Forever .
Lakers can't afford to go on cruise control never.

The Lakers are the hunted this season once again but with all this media attention focused on the "Super Team" of South Beach it does help the Lakers out tremendously.
I think the Lakers need to Continue Going Hard as a Lifestyle, Never wait for nothing gotta get it right now! like Ron Artest once Said.

At the same time getting healthy which means Kobe doesn't have to out do himself.
He has a great team which could carry him until he gets one hundred.

GOOD HEALTH, GOOD HEALTH, And GOOD HEALTH is the Key.

I'd be shocked if LA wasn't undefeated going into December.

Here we go with these crazy annual predictions mostly by new members. If we aren't talking about 70 wins, we are talking about an easy start. When will you guys ever learn that it just doesn't happen? Lets enjoy and watch how this team do. We didn't exactly play very well in the opener aside from Blake and Shannon catching fire in the second half. Otherwise we are 0-1.

We might not even make it to November undefeated. Tomorrow night's game at Phoenix can easily be a loss and if the Lakers aren't careful the Warriors can run them out of the gym. Curry and Ellis will destroy Derek Fisher. That is one potent backcourt that might combine for 70 pts on us.

Nothing is ever easy in this league especially when you aren't at full strength. The Lakers are a measuring stick for every team in the league. They have a huge target on their back because they are the defending champs and they only got better this offseason.

I'll tell you this now. Our first loss will be against a team we're "supposed" to beat.
