ESPN is also reporting that teams set a draft-day record with 33 trades over the two days.

The Giants signed a bunch of undrafted guys as soon as the draft ended tonight. These names will trickle out over the next few days. Right now, I have two:

*Cincinnati OL Glenn "Digger" Bujnoch. His father played for the Bengals and Bucs in thew late 1970s and early 80s. Glenn Jr. plays everywhere on the line -- including TE.

*Alabama DE Wallace Gilberry. A 6-3, 263-pound end who could use more bulk and needs to work on his pass-rush skills. I think the Giants have a couple of guys that could help him in that department.

Disappointment turned to delight for Nehemiah Warrick.

The Bayshore alum and Michigan State product didn't get picked during the NFL Draft, which wrapped Sunday night. But the safety did draw the interest of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants, who signed him as a free agent.

"I want to get in there and compete," Warrick said. "This is my job. . . . It's time to tighten up right now.

"I'm a New York Giant."

Coughlin told Warrick he had been breaking down Warrick's game film and thought he'd fit well in the Giants' system.

"He said a lot of great things about me," Warrick said. "I'm blessed to be part of the organization."

Three 'Canes were signed to free-agent contracts Sunday: Defensive tackle Teraz McCray with Buffalo; wide receiver Darnell Jenkins with Houston; and offensive lineman Andrew Bain with the Giants.

I would rather be a UDFA than a 7th rounder to be honest. Choose what you think is your best chance of making a team.

Andrew Bain has a very good shot at making the Giants.

Nicky Hill is the SIU QB the Bears picked up. If they can slip him onto the practice squad as the #4 QB or have him as an IR stash, they might have something in a couple of years.

The Giants picked up DJ Hall, my favorite UDFA signing so far.

Giants UDFAs:

WR D.J. Hall, Alabama

OG Glenn Bujnoch, Cincinnati

OG/OC Andrew Bain, Miami

OT Dylan Thiry, Northwestern

OT Carnell Stewart, LSU

DE Wallace Gilberry, Alabama

DE Antonio Reynolds, Tennessee

DT Nate Robinson, Akron

S Nehemiah Warrick, Michigan State

Along with Hall, I like Warrick.

Minnesota is doing work. Erin Henderson, J Leman, Darius Reynaud...they're bringing in some quantity but it's also quality.

What are the odds that BenJarvus Green-Ellis makes the Patriots roster? I've gotta like his chances.

That's the first I noticed Henderson went undrafted. Wow. Maybe his brother can bring out the best in him.

I like the way BenJarvus runs--reminds me of KayJay Harris of WVU a couple years back. Could stick as a short-yardage back.

I don't know much about him, but I think he went undrafted because of a Malcolm Kelly-esque 40 time and also character issues.

Good signing by the Eagles.

Ran 4.78 and 4.84 in the 40 and tested positive for marijuana twice in the last year. It's crazy because he ran a 4.55 less than two years ago and he only gained about 8 pounds since then. Oh well.

Mitch: Simeon Castille signed with the Bengals, where he has every chance to win the No. 5 cornerback spot.
