2011 GM-A-TEAM discussion thread.

Post#1 » by MadNESS » Fri Oct 29, 2010 6:36 am

The 2010 - 2011 is now among us. That means it time, time for the new GM - A - Team Game.

Commish:
Bness888
Email = Cantmesswithness8@yahoo.com
AIM = BNESS8888

Assistant:
Rocdogg
Email = rocdogg05@yahoo.com
Aim = rocdogg05@yahoo.com (same)

Im going to be the new commishioner. I will be posting a roster thread soon also. I do not care if it takes 1 full month to fill all the teams, we will NOT start trading until the teams are all filled with FULLY active GM's. I have several people interested now so im getting the roster thread rolling.
We will be using the same rules as always. With a few new ones that will be highlighted. I will make a timetable for the game once the 30 teams have been filled. Again we are in NO rush, so dont get all ancy about trading and stuff. We have a whole season. We will do this the right way, so that we can get as much participation as possible. I will have Rocdog be my assistant since he has already stated he would. IF for some reason he does not want to anymore, then i will find someone else. I will also be having someone else run the draft. Im hoping that Babyjax will be willing to do this again.

Teams will be decided on a first come first serve basis.

Salaries: Shamsports as always. If something is unclear for anyreason The commish and assistant will work out what we will do instead.
www.Shamsports.com

Trade rules:
1. One has to post salary details and show calculation as to how it works. Proposed deal must include rationale for accepting the deal.
2. Other team (teams) involved would have to post their acceptance and rationale for accepting the deal.
3. Make sure your team's salaries in Rosters thread are updated. Trades involving teams with unupdated roster will not be approved. Im going to very strict on this (Rocdogg style).
4. Unlike in the NBA, back to back picks are allowed to be delt, but no picks after 2014 can be delt since they are so far after the game is over.

Veto Request:
1. Should be sent to me directly. Cantmesswithness8@yahoo.com
2. 2 vetoes are ok, if 3 or 4 vetoes are sent on a deal, Rocdogg and I will discuss what will happen with the trade. 5 vetoes and the trade is vetoed no matter what.

1. Once all teams post an acceptance of a deal, a 24 hour window will start before the trade is approved. If those players are retraded, the 24 hours will not start till the first trade is official.

Roster Limits
All teams must be within the 12-15 player roster limit.
Guaranteed contracts that are waived count against your cap.
Any team not within the limit will not be allowed to deal until the limit is reached

Game Schedule.
- Trading - around months once we get going.
- 2011 Draft
- 2011 Free Agency
- Write ups
- Rankings

2010/2011 SEASON
HARD CAP = $100,000,000 NO EXCEPTIONS.
salary cap = $58,000,000
luxury tax = $70,000,000
MLE = $5,800,000
BAE = $2,000,000

2011/2012 SEASON
HARD CAP = $100,000,000 NO EXCEPTIONS.
salary cap = $60,000,000
luxury tax = $72,000,000
MLE = $5,900,000
BAE = $2,000,000

All previous GM's will be allowed to play, but everyone must remain ACTIVE. If you cannot finish the game please email me and we will find a replacement quickly. IF a rookie wants to play you will need to send me an email to state that you will be active and will play the entire game including a write up.

Trade exceptions: IF you wish to use one, it needs to be on your roster page.

Anyother questions? Email them. Lets get it.

:thumbsup:

Chris Bosh, Chalmers and one of the other rotation guys on the block for a PG and C.

Wade is also available but I want a damn good offer. Would prefer a C + a sweetener.

I need your email and a AIM account if you have one. Clippers are yours but you better remain active.

Mascot's got the raptors, you can have the cavaliers since you already posted a roster. PLEASE REMAIN ACTIVE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME. AND KEEP YOUR ROSTER UP TO DATE.

ONLY 20 more teams to go.

Also crazybrain something or another said hes going to play again.
I believe he had The hornets before and did pretty good and remained active.
So really 19 more teams to go. This should be very successful.
