Post#1 » by DexterMorgan » Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:35 am

Hamilton/Villanueva and 2011 first rounder (definite lottery pick) for Richardson/Hill/Clark.

You become:
Nash/Dragic
Hamilton/Childress
Turkoglu/Dudley
Villanueva/Warrick
Lopez/Frye

Pistons become:
Stuckey/Bynum
Richardson/Gordon
Prince/Hill
Daye/Maxiell
Wallace/Monroe

LOL at the confidence in your team.

I think I would have to pass on this trade. It wouldn't be fair to Grant Hill if we just dumped him on a losing team. He showed loyalty to us, so we show loyalty to him.

Counter offer:

Hamilton/Maxiell and 2011 first rounder for Richardson/Dudley

Not giving up an expiring who is the clear cut best player in the deal for 2 mediocre to terrible contracts just to get your early teens pick (8-14 pick probably). We could get a much better offer come trade deadline when teams are sucking and looking to cut salary before the new CBA.

Plus CV doesn't fill our defensive and rebounding void anyways. We're looking to target Josh Smith or Jason Thompson, or atleast I hope we are...

Nothing on the pistons interests me. Worst thread of the regular season so far.

As a player, I'd take BG over Rip, but BG's contract is scary.

The only player worth looking at is Monroe.

BG's contract is 3 years @ $10.8mill.

Only as a player?

Rips contract is the same amount of years as Ben's (3years), and like $2mill more!

I don't want either. I'm just saying I like BG over Rip right now. Neither contracts are particularly appetizing. BG is healthier than Rip but I also don't like undersized SG's.

Richardson, Turkoglu, Clark, Lawal
for
Prince, Villanueva, Hamilton, Wilcox (done separately with the trade exception)

PHX add defense in Prince and Hamilton, while adding more interior size in Wilcox and Villanueva. Villanueva also shoots the ball farily well from deep giving PHX yet another weapon. None of these will knock the rebounding socks off of anybody, but overall rebounding a defense should improve. Salary wise, PHX does take on even more long-term salary with Villanueva and Hamilton coming in, and Prince and Wilcox are expiring. Hamilton has an improved 3 point shot, prince shoots three pointers fairly well as does Villanueva, which help them fit into PHX's game plan. Prince, while not young anymore picks up where Marion left off, but with a better outside shot and less rebounding. PHX also adds salary right up to the tax threshold, so that would need to be taken into consideration

PHX:
Nash/ Dragic/ Janning
Hamilton/ Dudley
Hill/ Prince/ Childress
Wilcox/ Vilanueva/ Warrick
Lopez/ Frye/ Siler

DET:
Stuckey/ Bynum
Richardson/ Gordon
Turkoglu/ TMAC/ Clark
Daye/ Maxiel/ Jerebko/ Lawal
Wallace/ Monroe

DET puts Turkoglu back in as the point-forward with Stuckey and Richardson playing off the ball on the wings, providing DET with one of the things they have badly needed: Ball distribution. Turkoglu excelled at it in ORL where he helped lead ORL to the finals. DET also picks up Richardson who is a very good shooter as well as a great finisher at the rim. The trade is rounded out by adding additional youth for DET to build off of. The trade off is they do give up some defensive prowess which is sure to not make old school DET die hards very happy, but I think DET has signaled they are going in a different direction with style of play. To cap all of this off, DET reduces short-term and long-term, payroll by moving the deals of CV and Hamilton, and while they do pick up Turkoglu's deal, it is less than the deals of the outgoing players.

^ No thanks. I pass on that deal.

I'm not giving up our second best player, our newly acquired Hedo, and two of our young prospects for a bunch of overated, ageing players.

Grant Hill is a no trade even if it is not written. Just is never going to happen unless he requests it and chances of that is nil.

You know I do like Pheonix very much and I thought the fans had a sense in their head. Pheonix won't win a championship this year or in the next 10 years as long as you guys have that sorry offense and that SAD defense. Rip Hamilton played more playoff games than your whole team combined. You have no respect. The only reason why I do like your team is because of Nash and knowing you won't taste a finals game.

Check your PMs, we don't tolerate this here.
