Bobcats owner Michael Jordan says he'd like to sign coach Larry Brown to a contract extension beyond next season.

"I'd love to keep Larry as long as he (wants to be) here," Jordan said. "Larry hasn't chosen to have that conversation, so we haven't."

Damn, this sucks.

i dont think this changes anything on LBs side. i still expect him to leave after this season, especially if we miss the playoffs.

MJ's going to keep LB here for as long as LB wants to be here. That's a given fact.

He's still owed another year on his contract right? I say pay the man... screw him. He's the only guy in the league right now coaching worse than Rambis.

The lovely thing about this is,we all know LB does not want to be here next year so don't stress.
He's not happy with our roster,he doesn't like our centers or our point guard.....he WILL leave and do this all over again, just with another team is all.

LB does not want to coach this team next year. Not any concerns from my point of view about him resigning with Charlotte. At least, not at this point.

LB is already one of the highest paid coaches in America at over $6mil per. I don't think any offer he gets is going to be higher than that.

we should start an anti-lb movement called "build the right way"

hopefully then we wont throw all our assets into short term solutions to appease larry.

If Larry is signed for a multi year extension, say 5 years or so, I think you'd be looking to the future. He is really old though...

What's with all the LB hate? Everyone was praising him last season. He's a great coach and there really are no better options out there. However, I don't think we will be signing him to an extension because its clear that his heart isn't set on staying in Charlotte for much longer. But his tenure as the Bobcats coach has done nothing but help this organization...
