Week 8: Packers 9 Jets 0 Final

Post#1 » by Rich Rane » Sat Oct 30, 2010 7:05 pm

Happy Halloween. Everyone enjoy the bye? Good. Now let's get back to football.

Let's start with priority 1: Clay Matthews is a beast of a pass rusher. We can't let this guy keep getting penetration like he's been doing. LT/T-Rich/Terminator have to pick this guy up well in last case scenarios. They're also not the greatest run team on both sides of the ball so we need to take full advantage of that. We've also got to limit Aaron Rodgers here and hopefully with a rested Revis, we could do just that.

Injuries

Green Bay:
Questionable - DE Ryan Pickett (ankle), DE Cullen Jenkins (calf), T Mark Tauscher (shoulder)
Probable - S Nick Collins (knee), G Marshall Newhouse (back), T Chad Clifton (knee), WR Donald Driver (quadricep), CB Charles Woodson (toe)

New York:
Out - Kris Jenkins (torn ACL)
Probable (all three have been confirmed to play) - C Nick Mangold (shoulder), DB Calvin Pace (foot), CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring)

Weather at kickoff: Sunny and Clear Skies, 56 Degrees, 16 MPH winds from the NW

GB's D-Line got completely battered last week with injuries, we could tear them this week.

I go with Risdon and say we sneak out of a tough game.

two BS interception calls. I mean the jet receiver has the ball, hits the ground the GB defender rips the ball out and they call an interception..

too many dropped passes. Santonio holmes dropw as huge!! he had a clear lane for a TD..

Too many penalties

Too many screw ups...

missed FG..

We lost to a sissy green bay team we should have beat by 20..

Pathetic showing by the offense today, mainly Sanchez and the receivers. I'm sick of these soft Pennington touch passes. Throw the damn ball to the pads, Sanchez! So many times, he's under thrown receivers this season and it wasn't all wind. And the ones that weren't under thrown, our receivers couldn't even catch. And will someone play to Sanchez two seconds earlier? Seriously, 0 points against GB?

Playcalling was atrocious also to say the least.

I knew this game would be an L. We're gonna meet em again though in February IMO. I had the Pack going since the season began.

I would say knee-jerk reaction, but the way this team played against Denver kind of supports your statement. Completely winnable games against GB and Baltimore and we were nowhere near on capitalizing.

sanchez was throwing the ball fine.. the receivers blew a lot of catches.. but someone tell me what the hell is it with those two interceptions with the receiver on the ground with the ball? just BS.

The coaching staff manages the challenges and timeouts horribly....

we gave away 2 games this year.. the ravens and todays game.. there are no more trap games.. we are not that good to have trap games.. I will be happy if we can eek out wins vs those two teams.. the lions and browns play hard.. plus like every team, they will be picking up jets practice players off waivers to come in and make plays...

LOL dont jump off the bridge just yet. The Packers are a good team. It's not like we lost to the Bills or something. And we ddnt even give up a TD! The offense just needs to find a true identity.

I am not sure about it being knee jerk. all of this talk about us being one of the leagues best teams went out the window today... we are no better than miami, the pats, ravens, steelers, heck even the titans.. right now the jets are a good team with a great defense.. A pathetic, overrated offense..... our plays look like they come out of an old tecmo bowl game... simple, stupid, predictable and easy to defend.... if not for the talent on our offensive line and RB's we would be 1-6

man, we got shut out at home.. 7 games into the season and we don't have an identity? I thought we were a running team? I found this teams identity.... it is filed under "fraud"...
