Re: Postgame: Week 8
I felt like the Packers needed to keep the penalties down to win this one as well as not giving up any turnovers to big plays to the Jets, and they did a great job on both. Nice to see Howard Green involved in a couple nice plays against his old team, and the secondary continues to play very well.
Stay focused and take care of Dallas next week, then you have a week off to get healthy and prepare for the Vikings on the road.

Re: Postgame: Week 8
Our defense has been awesome.
It's weird though,I'm surprized we are 5-3 but at the same time we should probably be 8-0 or at least 7-1
Weird team weird season..

Great performance by the defense!
We should for sure be 6-2. I'm still mad about that Redskins game.

Great win but another game where the offense did nothing to help the defense.
Go Bucks!

Also, it'd be nice to see this Tim Masthay every week.

Re: Postgame: Week 8
The offense is starting to miss Finley imo. A healthy Driver would be nice too. We just need to figure out a way to beat a reeling Cowboys team next weeked and get to the bye week so our guys can get healthy.

Yes, in a defensive battle the field position game was key and Masthay did as good of a job punting as he has all season, by far his best game.

Mike "Tecmo Bowl" McCarthy. Total lack of creativity. His playcard must look like the Tecmo Bowl play screen that has the same 4 passes and 4 runs on it every time.
Him running this offense is like having a Ferrari with a Kia engine in it.

Re: Postgame: Week 8
HUGE WIN! The D played as good as they have all year. Howard Green looks like a great pick up, given our lack of defensive linemen. Rex Ryan is an idiot.
Get a win against the Cowgirls next week and then get everyone healthy during the bye before we make our 2nd half fun. I love where we are right now, especially considering the injuries we've over come.

He won't be around for a few days. He avoids this board like the plague every time we get a huge win.

We won the game so he's not here. xTitan Syndrome at its finest.

Re: Postgame: Week 8
Now that the defense ironically has improved after all the injuries, I feel like this team could be a Super Bowl contender if Ted Thompson would have made a move for a running back.
The biggest long-term issue with the offense is the predictability and lack of ability to convert in short yardage situations.
Yes, Rodgers is sucking too, but you figure he'll overcome his fear of getting hit and/or lack of mental clarity from the concussion(s) eventually.
TT is a good GM, but he's not a closer. We would be well served having a more dominant voice in his ear (like I think Hammond does) and if he doesn't listen to him on occasion, his job then would be in jeopardy.

Re: Postgame: Week 8
The Finley factor is big but Rodgers needs to get in sync with his receivers. Jennings, Jones, Nelson and Driver aren't rookies. And I don't want to see AR laughing it up out there as he's sucking.
Sanchez sucks but our defense really stepped up.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's good to finally get some breaks going our way.

I think the urge to get rid of the football prematurely also explains why Rodgers is all off a sudden "in sync" with the receivers. He's taking the "back shoulder" option so frequently because it's available on just about every play without needing to give the receiver ample opportunity to break open. The problem is it requires a phenomenal amount of awareness by the receiver. If it didn't, teams would call it on every play.
Visa vie Finley, the silver lining there is hope he'll return by season's end. Then Rodgers would get some easy completions on jump balls and in turn gain some confidence back.

I think we win one of those OT games with the Lynch deal. The team was deflated after Lynch went cheap to Seattle.
That said this was a signature win ala the Patriots victory in 2002. The team still has too many holes and too many injuries. But arguably we'll still finish 10-6 with a wildcard or division title. Great game.
