Don't know if I really like this move. The Spurs have a young point guard in George Hill, who will probably be glued to the bench for the next 4 years.

He may be glued to the 6th man role for the next for years, but that's a far cry from being glued to the bench. And with Manu leading by example, there's no shame in playing the 6th man for the Spurs. These two also play well together, so this is a good signing for all considered. I'm just curious if it's backloaded like Manu and Timmy's, where the last couple years are the priciest. Hopefully that won't hurt us cap-wise too much when it's time to sign a big FA after Timmy retires.

Smart move by the Spurs. TP's still pretty young IIRC.

Dunno bout it on TP's side though. Guess he just wanted the stable security and just really enjoys being on the Spurs and thought the offer was fair.

Honestly, I think the future is kinda set.

Parker is the PG. Hill is the combo guard and most likely Manu's replacement as he age. James Anderson is playing primarily SF so far so let's say he's the future SF. Then there's Splitter and Blair. I definitely don't see why Hill's future should be questioned.
