If Rose didn't play in the fourth he would of had a super game! I think going into the fourth he had like 15 points and 11 assists and only 2 turn overs.

I noticed Rose dribbled towards the sideline instead of staying at the top of the arc during the 4th. Dribbling to the sideline cost us 2 turnovers when they doubled him. Hrmmm?

Hopefully Mr. Deng gets some respect now, all this criticism He has been receiving lately is shameful.

Uh...Rose had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists. Noah had 10 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and a block. How are those "meh" or 'ok' games?

Props to Lu for tonight and overall a good defensive effort from the team despite so many fouls.

Guys, I got home from work at 6:45 and passed out in front of the tv and just woke up now. :-(.....how was Rose's defense?

BTW if we can beat portland without Boozer what does that say about the relative strength of the elite teams in the East vs West?

C'mon, where is the respect for Omer?

He played superb in my opinion. Sure, he made some mistakes but all in all I think he was fantastic.

Luol with 40. Now averaging 20+ ppg. Derrick with 13 assists and an efficient 16 points.

This team is going to be good when Boozer returns. Hopefully they can get the offense clicking like it was tonight on a regular basis.

I didn't like the letdown there at the end, though.

I gotta say, Taj's rebounding numbers are really starting to be a concern. I understand he only played 21 minutes tonight, but staying on the floor is something he is going to have to fix. He picks up way too many stupid fouls. We need his defense (non existent) and rebounding (also invisible) to get this team through this stretch without Boozer.

I don't want to sound like a sore winner, but man, B Roy is one whiny dude.

You can actually hear him over Thibs wampa screams, and that's saying something.

Game ball goes to Luol Deng. What a night for the guy and I'm glad to see him bounce back and play like a stud. I talked about this in the game thread, but this game is evidence that Luol Deng can be good. The bottom line is that we need him to contribute in the fourth quarter. Outside of Rose, he's the only one capable of consistently scoring in the fourth. Lately I've heard this new thing about how Deng's skillset prevents him from contributing when the defense tightens up. Hogwash. There isn't a single player that can score 16-19 points through three quarters and contribute nearly nothing in the fourth. There's no reason to make up such excuses for him and there's also no reason to discredit his abilities. Deng, as you saw tonight, is good enough to be an impact player for four quarters. Today he showed it.

Taj Gibson's offense looks significantly improved to me. Is it just me, or is he dunking it with some nastiness this season? He's added a spin move to his arsenal. He's been really soft on the glass though -- a trend that began in the preseason. It's a bit troubling and he needs to step it up.

Asik is looking like a really nice addition.

Taj kept are front court thin the entire night. His productivity is canceled out by all the extra minutes Scals had to play.

Why is it shameful? he hasn't been playing that well. If his play continues to to be good nobody will criticise him.

I knew Deng would turn it around, good for him. A little consistency would be nice though
