Very fair, considering what he does for us. Managable and very moveable contract if it ends up not working.

Jared Dudley's 5-year deal has $21.25M guaranteed and another $1.25M in playoff incentives.

Dudley will have a player option in the 5th year. He will be paid $4.5M in each year of the contract. Signed it minutes before deadline.

Good.

I was in bed last night reading some of the rumors on Hoopshype and they mentioned Dudley's extension talk not being dead yet and I just knew it was going to get done. It's a very, very fair deal, to say the least. I was thinking maybe $6m per year if he hit FA, but for only $4.5m a year which isn't even double his salary now, it's an excellent deal. Very movable and manageable as BH mentioned. I'm just glad this is done because he should be part of our future.

VERY good deal

Basically means we can potentially move JRich for a PF if need be around the deadline and either Duds or Chill can step in and start at SG

Really like the deal

I think J-rich may be the guy on the outs. bummer. Im more bummed out about horford signing with the hawks. the suns could really need him at the 4 spot.

really a good deal considering how much he improves every year. Has anyone else noticed how much faster he is since losing his weight? His ball handling and mid-range jumper have improved too... I like it

Well there might be Josh Smith by the deadline. I know it's only been 3 games, but Elton Brand is looking better (at least from the numbers). Might be some potential to take his contract off their hands and get a high pick or something out of them.

Philly is in rebuilding mode and I don't think they'd be willing to give up a pick just to get rid of Brand.

May I ask what you guys love about him so much for him to warrant a 5 year deal. Speaking from experience, these things rarely work out. 5 year deals for guys who play a role off the bench just end up being difficult to move down the road. I mean, with Childress, Frye, Dudley, and Warrick taking up a significant portion of your payroll for a while now, this only limits your flexibility to rebuild even more.

Yeah, it kinda does. But Dudley deserves this contract. Frye and Warrick....not so much.
