Since Chauncey got traded, he's had to deal with Iverson, Stuckey and Bynum. NONE of them are true PG's.

Stuckey is a 2. Everyone knows it.

So that means he's out there being forced to do things he shouldn't do. Like setting up his teammates.

And who the hell said he's being selfish? The man only took 10 freaking shots. He's deferring to everyone else. And as far as I'm concerned, the guys he guarded (Bogans, Korver, Watson) barely did anything.

Rip isn't washed up and he isn't selfish. He just doesn't fit in with this team, mainly because there's no PG.

Stuckey has played like a true PG in the only games we've had this season, so thus far it does not matter if in the past he seemed like more of a 2. He has made a lot of great decisions and has a good ast/to and high assists. I've been really impressed in that aspect of his game so far this year.

I think RIP and Tay just dont care anymore. I mean they've been the 2 guys on this team everybody has been begging to trade, and yet their only left (that stayed) that have a ring on THAT team. You think they don't know that everybody in the city of Detroit wants them gone? That's a hard feeling to play with and their trying to prove that they still have some game in them

That's cold....after all Rip has done for this organization have the decency to trade him to a contender. Damn Rip was the Pistons best scorer 2003-2008.

Agreed!! I do feel like he should be traded but I hate the way everybody down talks him like he wasn't a big part of the only championship we got in the past 10 years

This is absurd, not one person has taken away Rip's accomplishments. If Rip Hamilton was the same Rip Hamilton in 2004, I would say this man can retire a Piston whenever he wants. However, it has been 2+ seasons of this SH** attitude, shot chucking, ball stopping, Rip that I barely can believe is the same player.

None of his shortcomings have to do with age and athleticism right now.

Reread this thread, everyone here has gloated about Rip's past with us, I would kill to have that player back, but he isn't that player for whatever mental reasons he has, and I want his ass gone STAT.

Not his talent or his accomplishments, its his CURRENT attitude.

The ball and our offense move MUCH better when Rip is not in the game. And Stuckey isn't any more of a pure PG with Rip on the bench. Time for people to stop making excuses for him.

Stuck will never be a pure PG but you have to admit that he has looked a lot better out there thus far

I think that is what he was saying. Stuckey is a not a PG yet he makes guys better. Well guys except Richard Hamilton.

I've always been a big fan of Rip, but based on what I have seen so far Gordon needs to take over the starting role. Isn't the idea of competition to actually reward the players that are playing the best? Stuckey has looked great so far, but the team appears to be really lacking leadership, a low post presence, and defense.

Still not taking away from the player he was. I'm stating that as my opinion of him today. I repeatedly stated how awesome he was for us for years.

And If 2 seasons and change of a crap attitude has given him ample time to turn it around. There has to be a line.

Here's the problem. Hamilton is the captain. He's the last to be announced in the beginning of the game. How do you take away a captain's starting role? On top of that, how do you tell Rip to sit on the bench. Only a coach like Brown can do that. It's pretty damn hard believe me!

Here's another problem. If you bench Rip, he'll prove to you and everybody that you're (Please Use More Appropriate Word) for benching him and WILL take the spot again.

He has a bad attitude that needs to change and the only way to do that is to change Wallace and Prine or get rid of Rip himself. I feel like if he goes to another team like the Celtics, he will EXCEL and we'll regret the day we traded him. I love him, but even if he puts up 20 pts off the bench on some other team, I won't regret trading him. Either him or his attitude needs to go. But since his contract is favoring him going, then Rip needs to leave. I'd gladly let him take a bench role if it wasn't for that big contract of his.

Rip is questionable for tonight's game.

http://www.mlive.com/pistons/index.ssf/ ... est_1.html

"Pistons coach John Kuester said Austin Daye likely would still get most of his minutes at power forward. That means DaJuan Summers likely will back up Ben Gordon at shooting guard."

Sounds ass backwards to me. How about Monroe at the 4 and Daye at the 2/3?

Actually just read the article....

Rip is 'questionable' and CV is a 'game-time decision.'

Man it would be SWEET if a trade was in the works for both of them!!

Milwaukees wing situation continues to be atrocious. Salmons & Maggette look like straight trash out there, worse than Rip. And to top it off they are 1 and 3 in their first 4. I think they are a candidate to acquiring Hamilton even though their fans pretend like Salmons/Maggette/Delfino is a great wing rotation

Delfino has been playing pretty well, but Salmons/Maggette have been bad. Same goes for Gooden (bad).

Dumars in 09- Rip Hamilton: 3/37, Ben Gordon- 5/55, Charlie V- 5/40

Hammond in 10- John Salmons- 4/40, Corey Maggette- 3/30 (traded EC for) Gooden- 5/32

Nobody can say that Hammonds was the mastermind, similiar moves made in consecutive years IMO

Dallas is also a candidate. Their wing situation is pretty bad. Terry and Butler. Rip needs to start playing better soon though
