Josh Smith

Wiretap says he might be available for a trade because they signed Horford to an extension and they want to shed salary

Josh Smith + Mike Bibby ($17,264,767)
for Aaron Brooks + Jordan Hill + Patrick Patterson + Shane Battier + first rounder? ($13,863,992)

rockets
f: Smith, Budinger, Harris
f: Scola, Hayes, Jeffries
c: Yao, Miller, Dampier
g: Lowry, Bibby, Smith
g: Martin, Lee, Taylor

yeah Smith is really a power forward but i can see a closing lineup of Bud, Smith, Scola, Lowry and Martin/Lee

hawks
f: williams, battier, evans
f: powell, hill, patterson
c: horford, pachulia, thomas, collins
g: brooks, teague
g: johnson, crawford, crawford
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I'd do it if Battier and Jefferies were swapped.

Josh Smith cannot play the 3 anymore.
Furthermore a lineup with Josh Smith and Kyle Lowry would have no spacing whatsoever. You can get away with a center and one guy who can't know down open jumpers. Two guys plus a center and PF without three point range would be terrible.

That may be true but I'd take his shotblocking, rebounding, and ability to run the floor and finish at the rim.

No I don't think so and Bibby is old while Brooks is young and still growing. Also Josh can not play SF so I would rather have Marvin Williams for the SF spot. Not sure of how good of a defender he is though.

I remember when they were calling Marvin Williams the next Michael Jordan.... ahh, sports pundits.

ugh... heck no! he would be a terrible fit for this team... its doubtful he picks up the houston offense and he has ability to space the floor at 3 and he costs wayyy too much for what he brings to the table...

having watched wayy mre hawks games than I care for I can tell you he's probably one of the most overrated (and overpaid) players in the league
