OT: Winter Thread(hint-Winter is going to suck)

Last year we had an El Nino which induces strong southern jet stream. When you have cold air in an El Nino with a strong southern jet, you get the potential for an explosion of snowstorms which we had last year in the greatest winter of all time.

This year...NASO much....we have a Strong La NINA which promotes fast moving systems....little activity in the southern jet and usually a ridge in the East which means while Winter might start off cold and bit snowy...i fully expect it to warm up in january and February and give us above normal temps and below normal snow.

My guess for DC area 5-10 inches of snow for the entire winter and temps about 2-3 degrees above normal. If you like snow, this aint your winter people
