Clipper Darrell goes "on strike"

Post#1 » by JJ LoDuca » Tue Nov 2, 2010 6:42 pm

He tweeted this after last night's game:
All I want 2 c is love & passion 4 the game ...CLIPPER DARRELL IS NOW ON STRIKE!!!! I'm hanging the suit up n the closet

http://twitter.com/ClipperDarrell

I've always thought Clipper Darrell thought a little to highly of himself in terms of his place in the franchise vs. where he thinks his place in the franchise is. His chants are fun and everything, but does he really think going "on strike" is gonna hurt anyone's feelings?

It's a bit trivial compared to other issues this team is facing, but I thought it was interesting to discuss.

Your right JJ him going on strike won't really have impact on the team. I'm guessing he's just frustrated. I sat pretty close to him on Sunday's game and towards the end he was very quiet and I wondered if he was still there. He does have the ability to get the crowd in the game, maybe that will be lost a little. I personally think he shouldn't go on strike, he knows that it's not easy to be a fan of this team. We all know that.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

If the Clippers' number 1 fan is "quiting" on the team right now, thats saying something about how frustrated the Clipper nation are.

^ See that's my problem with Clipper Darrell. Who died and named him the Clippers "Number 1" fan? Naw, man. The way I see it--I'm a bigger fan than he is, I just don't spend my money on satin suits and tricked out beemers, and I don't go carrying on at games being obnoxious. But--I've been called a hater before

I damn sure ain't quit on the team 4 games into the season either, lol.
