Jefferson has probably been our most efficient scorer so far, pretty impressive. Definitely looks a lot more confident and comfortable out there.

I wouldnt worry about TP just yet, I think mid season will be a better reflection of where he's at health wise.

Yeah, he's a step slower but he's finding ways to be effective. I'm not concerned about him.

Neal was awesome in this game. Anderson hit some nice shots and got a monster block in the 4th, can't recall on who.

Ok I had courtside seats to last nights game. Let me share my thoughts.

First Gary Neal is the real deal. The guy came out super early in warm up and was lighting the basket up. He was automatic from long range. He looked so focused and hungry. It didnt surprise me at all he had a great game. I expect good things from him this year.

RJ looks really good. In warm up he was joking and coking with TIm and the boys. The games I went to last year he seemed stressed. The guy was money all night. He really has improved this year. No longer the weakest link.

Manu, had what I thought was a good game but he looks old out there. He still is drawing fouls and was making steals. But he just looked tired out there. He seemed to be gased real early in the game. I know he probably isnt in perfect baskeball shape just my observation.

Duncan looked care free. He was having fun and no longer needed/wanted to be the main attraction. It took me today to realize how close he is to taking the role of David Robinson. TD did wonders slimming down and was solid just no longer the killer he once was.

Ok now on to the Clippers:
Griffin was amazing. The guy has ROY written all over him. He hustled every play and came up big. I dont know how him and Kamen are going to co exist. He was very fun to watch.

Eric Gordon is playing with a chip on his shoulder. He was mean and nasty all night. The guy is a solid player and was fun to watch too but he played with so much anger.

I actually thought Kaman and Griffin played well with each other. One thing I surely didn't know about Kaman was that he has range on his shot. He made atleast four 18 foot jumpers in that game and from the first time he shot it, I was like "Luck"... but then after over 4 times in one game swishing that shot, you gotta think that's actually part of his game. Griffin however has no range in his game yet. This was our first time defending him and early on, he blew by guys facing up and using his quickness. By 4th quarter, our guys knew he couldn't shoot and that's when we started to contain him. We push him out further from the block, and when he gets it, we sag off him and dare him to shoot jumpers. He still tried to take it to the rim but has less success because that first step doesn't get him past the defender anymore.

About Clippers, I don't see anything wrong with their offense. If Baron Davis gets in shape, they'll look better. IMO the problem for them is the defense. Let's face it, they look awful in that end. I can't recall a period of time where the Spurs got shutdown defensively. Atleast we shut them down on the 4th quarter. We got everything we want on offense. Open shots was everywhere. We got fastbreaks. Everybody was able to get to the rim. Open 3 pointers. They're even worse than we are if we talk about defense.
