ATL has a good nucleus with 3 stars and a bit of cap in the Bibby-Vujacic exchange. Added to Mo expiring contract, this could allow to retain JC1 next year. JJ could move to the SF and we ship Marv-Collins for Haywood- Barea and run a a small back court and hard working front line:
Paul- Flip- Barea
JC1- JC2- JJ
JJ- Mo-Sy
Horford- Powell
Haywood- Zaza-Thomas
ATL/NO/ LAL

I'd give up Smith and Teague for Paul but those late 1st round picks are a deal breaker.

Yep that is a lot of Paul. Especially with his current contract situation, I don't think we can afford to give Smith, Teague, and 2 firsts just to watch Paul bolt after next year.

The only thing these three teams have in common is the fact that they're unbeaten so far.

I was actually joking.....that original trade is completely lopsided in the Hawks favor even if Paul didn't sign an extension.

Re: ATL/NO/ LAL
We get hosed in that deal, you have us giving up what is our main advantage off our bench just to get Mike Bibby in return ? And David West fits nowhere in our offense, besides that he won't start because Pau has the 4 locked.FCNATL85 wrote:ATL sends Smoothe and Teague to NO along with 1st 11 and 13 and Bibby and 2nd 11 to LAL

And don't retort with "Move Pau to the center, and Bynum to the bench"........that flushes our versatility right down the toilet. Bibby is OK, but you guys that don't really know how our offense works need to stop thinking we need a ball dominate lead guard. The Triangle functions quite well with just a serviceable guard.
Our strength is our length and depth in our front court, why in the world would we trade for Bibby and get rid of Odom ?
